Hello all...
Well I've read the threads on ABS and the TM, but I can't find any possible explanation on this...
We pulled the 4 bad military batteries from the M923A1, and put two new 12 V semi batteries in... fit well, and redid the wires.
Now however, my ABS light comes on after driving...
Hey all,
Well we pulled the 4 mil batteries out of the M923A1 today... and put two of the large 12V truck batteries back in... but we have an issue...
1) Are there any 12V draws that need to be put back on... in our rush we just disassembled and then realized this fact... are there more...
Tried, still horrible..
Ok, I'm using Chrome on a Macbook that is really fast.
I've emptied my cache... no results.
I killed all the cookies, no results.
I used my wife's Mac... same results...
Used the son's Mac, same results... (they weren't on the web at the same time)
I used Safari, and...
Anybody having REALLY slow load times and response times with Steel Soldiers?
I'm on a high speed connection, and all of my other pages load really quick, but there are times SS is literally 3 to 4 minutes to load a new page?
Just me?
Mk18 / Mk18a1
According to the Oshkosh website, and several references online, the Mk18 and Mk18a1 are indeed Ribbon bridge transports, but they also load and unload ISO standard 20 foot containers as well. In fact the ribbon bridge and support equipment are put on to or mimic the 20 foot...
Invite?
Don't want to throw a wrench in the plans, but we could probably host a close by get together so guys could see the tanks and IFVs if anyone is interested... if its a bad time, we could do something another weekend for Steel Soldiers guys...
Ridiculous!
Thats ridiculous... to threaten to arrest you guys for doing what NEEDS to be done... what a nightmare. I've also only had good experiences with GL lot employees, they have ALWAYS tried to help... glad that they are doing so on these vehicles too...
How do you tell?
Hey all...
How do you tell how many kws your home needs to run in a backup situation?
I am looking to pickup a 15kw or 30kw mil generator... but I want to avoid the problems of not loading the generator enough...
I am an electrical newbie at best... its magic isn't it...
T=62
Hey should you decide to part with your find, we have a T-62 that has an unsightly hole where that scope should be... LOL!
You can make it work, but its weight, size, and plug pin out would be quite the hassle...
Cool
They look cool as heck... but every soldier I've talked to, have said they don't like them... they aren't as tough as the 939 series, and require more maintenance...
Of course you know what opinions are like... as you know...
Drive Line Balance?
I've read and have both the general maintenance procedures TM, and the Parts Manual, but have found not references to drive line timing?
Do you have a procedure or TM you can point us MK48 owners to?
Thanks in Advance!
FYI on SF-97s
Hey all,
I attempted over the weekend to do my SF97 request on the MK48 and trailer. When I placed my invoice # in, it said the request had already been made. Despite borderline freaking out... I contacted GL this morning...
Since the sale was in Jacksonville, due to some...

Emotional Homecoming...
An emotional homecoming today....
Ok it was just me jumping around like a 7 year old on Christmas Day!!!
She's home all... special thanks to Wreckerman893 and crew, for getting her on the way... and Andy1234 for arranging all the shipping details...
Also, I've had a...
Releases
Hey since the Mk48s are now being released, could we get a specific section of Steel Soldiers for them?
There should be massive amounts of information starting to come out and be shared with these units hitting the ground.
I'd volunteer to help with that section of the board in...
Huge thanks!
WOW, guys if you haven't had Wreckerman help on a pickup, I can tell you he knows his stuff is most importantly, IS ABOUT HOW STUFF GETS DONE, NOT WHY IT CAN'T BE!
How many times do people say what can't be done... instead of how it can. He is in Jacksonville pickup of our Mk48s...
Thanks!
We all owe Andy a big thanks... his coordination is really making this effort and excellent example... and Wreckerman's expertise on the ground will be invaluable... takes a lot of anxiety out of the situation!
