So does the scepter not fit in a USGI Gerry can rack? I could slot the front and rear of a normal mount and fab a strap to go the other way? Hmm, got the old pea spinnin. The strap I got goes the other way, like the web straps that came with the truck.

That's what I was thinking of doing, putting WMO or WVO in those cans. Mark them #2diesel and hope someone siphons for a newer ULSD truck.

That's what we're trying to tell you Hoss, the more you use it this way, the shorter the battery life. I work on 24 volt busses for a living and have seen some ugly things happen in battery bays when someone tries to get around the converter or EQ. Battery acid makes a he!! of a mess.
