The newer trucks also have far better diagnostic options. I can use a laptop for engine and ABS and CTIS diagnostics... oh transmission diagnostics, too
If you had a C7 truck then you could flash the CTIS ECU... I wonder if I can do that with someones ECU if I connect it to my truck???
The adaptive values are stored in a RAM chip
@Awesomeness. Do you know that when you upgrade to the black ECU you also need to change the transducer?
there is a seller on ebay who has them for $30 incl free shipping

What I'm using is the Dearborn adaptor from the diagnostic kit with an Panasonic Toughbook cf29 running windows XP with the free Dana diagnostic software.
You really need the Dana diagnostic tool. With it I was able check what was going on and also erase any errors. With it you can change the overspeed values and tire pressure and store it in the ECU.
Took an awful lot of heat . Good thing I kept the lug nuts on the wheel. that thing popped with quite the force. thanks to the scissor jack under high tension
I tried the bottle jack, but that didn't work too well with the jack being sideways. Then I tried a scissor jack. I cranked it a lot and still nothing happened. I will leave it like that for a while. I didn't feel like it coming off in a rather explosive way, with my hand under the wheel well...

Is there a difference between A1 and A0 oil dip stick?
Edit: yes there is a big difference. The A0 trucks have the dipstick on the engine block, so it is rather short. The A1 have the oil dip stick by the oil filler and therefore it is much longer.
I know the tire pressure is supposed to be 85psi . My CTIS comes on a lot. Is that normal?
Unless I lower the pressure to x-cross, it will come right back on once it's finished filling. Continuously
