also, is your oil sender and guage correct or mismatched? 60 psi? What do you normally run at idle?
Not sure, I'll have to check that out. I've never really seen the needle move out of 15-30 psi running at idle or on the road. I'll look into the gauge/sender stuff. Thanks
I need some help trying to figure out why my deuce is still so slow at building oil pressure. I changed the oil and added the Spin on filter kit to replace the canister oil filters. the Filters I put on are the Wix 51458 that have the anit drain back valve. Everyone says this should reduce the...
Did you ever figure this out? I have the same problem where I have the spin on adapters with WIX anti drain back valve filters and it takes the same amout of time to get oil pressure as before with the canisters.
Cool, my 2 favorite deuce guys... SGTSTEWART (who sold me the truck), and Tie6044 who always has the spare/replacement parts I need. I'll head down the SF97 correction path until I hit too many walls in which case I'll go with the quiet route and/or new data plate.
Yeah, the Minnesota DMV told me I had to get the federal paperwork fixed (sf97 I guess) in order to get the state issued title corrected. Yes, this will be fun Im sure.... I dont even know if the SF97 form exists still or not. I never recieved it from the seller, and who knows if he still has...
Need Help,
I just went to renew my insurance today and noticed the vin number is wrong (1 number appeared to have been fat fingered). I'm the second owner and have owned it for about 8 months, the first owner bought it from GL in 09. I called the Minnesota department of MV and they told me...
Wow, thanks! I just chekded it out. The base plus 4070 filter is only $34, plus $13 shipping. Even with shiping that's more than $10 cheaper than the base alone from napa before taxes.
thanks I actually just got in touch with john at midwest military. Sounds like he can do it!
As far as Hagarty I couldnt go with them because I am not able to keep my deuce stored indoors as they required. They asked for pictures of my deuce inside the locked garage/shed that I was supposed to...
I went to renew my insurance and wanted to up the value of my duece since I have been pumping money and sweat equity into restoring the truck as well as a modest camper conversion (although most of the work is restoration).
Anyway I was told to up the value I needed an appraisal. I've done...
So I've been trying to come up with some ideas for compact, legal safe and comfortable travel seating for a couple people in the van box of my 109 camper conversion so we dont need to take 2 cars when we go somewhere as a family.
I finally came up with an idea that would work great since it...
I've got the ever popular M109 camper conversion going on and have a family of 4. It all has been fun to use and worked great except for the fact that we need to take an extra car anywhere we go when the whole family camps as their is only room for 3 in the cab. The extra car is nice in case of...
Thanks for all the posts and advice guys. I certainly want as much space in the box as possible. Since I dont plan on doing much camping in the freezing months (if I do I'll just bring my 7 gallon portable water jug with), I was pretty convinced to go with tank(s) under the van box between the...
Yes Under the bed is a good idea but I'll be using that space as storeage for all our stuff (its a family camper:)). I wont be using the water tank in the winter or cold months. I'll definately be keeping the tank underneath the box somewhere, just trying to figure out the best place for the...
I'm trying to get some ideas from some other m109 camper guys on where you have mounted your fresh water tank and what sizes you went with.
I'm thinking the best spot for my conversion is under the box between the rails somewhere. Anyone else done this, what size tank did you go with...
Thanks for taking the time to measure it for me. I tried to do that myself last night but wasnt able to get my meter to work with current for some reason (probably operator error:)) I'll probably go with a 10amp power supply then to be able to run the fan, water pump (sink/shower), and the...
thanks for the suggestion. You dont happen to know what the model numbers are do you? I wasnt able to find any backward incline blower setups in 24vdc from grainger, or mcmaster for that matter.
The two roof vents were the neat deal as far as making the inside cooler. Use the steel vent cover not the plastic ones however for obvious reasons.

I've been looking for a...
I just did my 109 this summer. I asked many of the same questions on here earlier this year.
For what its worth, what I neded up doing was using a couple angle grinders, one with a wire cup wheel, one with a wire disk wheel. Used that to get all the rust and loose paint off. sanded the...
