Did you ever figure out what the amperage pull was from the motor? I'm tearing out all the electrical boxes in mine and doing it over since I added so much extra stuff for the camper conversion. Anyway I'm getting rid of that big nasty transformer box and am just trying to figure out how big...
I'm all good now, Scott (tie6044) got me one of those funkly little HH screws and it finally fixed my leak.... no more spotted driveway or stinkly cab when driving anymore. Thanks again for the great write ups on IP/HH repair.
I think any program we use these days would work well. Most programs we use we can save 3D models to a generic .STEP or .IGS file and nearly any modeling program can open them from those formats. Regarding the M35A3 models I said I saw, they were actually video game 3d models... they really...
I never did a full model. So far I've just modeled the items I've made for my 109a3 (new aluminum window blackout covers/blinds, Generator tray between winch bumper and passenger fender, and the interior of the 109 box to figure out best use of space for the camper). I did find some 3d models...
Thanks for taking the time to put this together. I used it as directions on how to remove the HH so I could replace the o-rings and fix the leak I had in that area...... unfortunately I learned afterwords that the orings werent where it was leaking afterall. I found the leak was that 16 point...
Yeah going with the front window area is pretty easy. I ended up getting a 8000 btu ac unit from costco (since they have a never ending return policy). I made a frame in the window area for it and covered it with some aluminum panels. I ended up making a cover for the outside of the AC unit also...
This is refering to the 4 wire starter switches that some m35a2's and the a3's have instead of the pushbutton starters.... so this switch is just momentary and wouldn't work with fuel shutoff
I've been trying to troubleshoot the wiringing myself on my 88af truck. I know this is an older post but for anyone "from the future" reading this trying to figure out what the 4 wires are on the start switch here it is.
-2 wires are obviously for starting (both 74 I think)
-wire 117 is a ground...
Did anyone figure out this 4 wire switch yet? I'm trying to troubleshoot the dual circuit brake dash warning light system on my deuce. Basically the quick story is that at some point the warning light was removed and the harnesses unplugged. I purchased a new light, and am trying to get the...
Thanks for checking that out. Once its day light again I'll have to go check to see if it looks like it will plug into my start switch..... my fear is that I'll find the dual circuit trucks have some type of "special" start switch and that mine no longer has it.
Okay, I traced all the dual circuit brake wires and it looks like part of this wire harness needs to be connected to something? There are 4 plugs comming off the harness under the dash. the 2 single wire ones are 127 and 167 which would go to the dash's brake warning light. There are 2 other...
Thanks Roady,
that helps a ton! I did a little trouble shooting tonight and it looks like the parking brake switch isnt working (the contacts must be smashed inside it) so hopefully that was the only reason someone decided to remove the brake warning light.... fingers crossed.
Okay found 2 more plugs that arent connected under the dash.
One plug is a 3 pin male with only 2 wires coming off it (127 & 174)
Another plug is a 4 pin that has 174,118,117,127 coming off it. Any help on if these should be connected to something would be great, and again what should be...
ROADY, thanks any help would be great and you verifying what wires are connected to the dash light and parking brake are probably my best bet.
ACEHIGH, according to the TM SMARPI 9-2320-209-14&P it says it will light up under 2 instances, for the parking brake and for a failure of one brake...
Hi all,
I suspect this is going to be a tough question to get answers to. I purchased a 88 Airforce M109 with the dual circuit brakes earlier this year. Well I knew something was up when the center light (brake warning light) on the instrument cluster had been replaced with a regular gauge...
Thank you, I think the power bleeder is actually the part that first got me confused. As this is a dual circuit system it's master cylinder reservoir is more like a car's with a plastic tank and a screw on plastic cap, not the small threaded hole like the single systems have.
I figured its time to bleed the brakes on my 88 AF M109A3 which has the dual circuit system. I've only had the truck a few months, the previous owner never bleed them, and not sure when the military last did before that.
So far I havent found much info on these dual systems and havent...
Just curious how many of you shut off your deuce or let it run while refueling? If you are supposed to let it idle to cool down for 5 minutes before shutting off it seems like an added pain when refueling (besides the cost of that much fuel). So assuming your truck has a good working parking...
