https://eriksmilitarysurplus.com/cabwest.html All the big dealers will have the seal. Probably will need a used metal retainer for it. (Most should also have that)
So I haven't updated this in awhile. Last week I took a M37 and some parts to Midwest Military and got new troop seat and bow wood and two boxes of the last missing parts. Ordered a harness from Vintage wiring of Maine with Packards and turn signals added. Here's a few pictures.
The individual wire should have a connector pin soldered to it then it is pushed into the rear of the cannon plug. Is that pin (the wire) pushed in all the way so that it contacts the pin on the light switch?
I had to go look for this. It is actually on the Virginia DMV webpage. There is no way they can legally refuse you I don't believe. (as long as its over 25 years old)
So why not just find out who the email is from and show them the relevant info regarding FMVSS and the Military standards? Heck if nothing else take a print out showing FMVSS not relevant for vehicles over 25 years old.
I just went through my notes. McMaster-Carr sold a 9376K45 which was the 3/8 and the K16 was the 5/16. Unfortunately they are not on their website anymore...
You guys are in my opinion missing the biggest argument with FMVSS: anything over 25 years old is exempt! https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/49/30112
