    getting it home

You don't know the condition of the brakes until you pull the wheels and inspect them. You don't know the condition of the wheel bearings until you pull the wheels and inspect them. Have you looked at it? Do you know if the fuel tank has fresh fuel or crap? Belts and hoses ok? You can...

M105A3 Stabilizer Jack: Where did they all go?

The original langing leg for the 105A3 was very failure prone. There is an MWO that replaces it, but many units just left it off it it broke if they were turning it in, and I am sure the GL forklift operators have removed a few.

    m1101 trailer

An ATV in an M101 series or an M1101 is pushing it pretty hard for the stock pintle hook on a M1009- remember the M1009 was only supposed to tow the M416 series trailers.

    Deciphering TB 746-93-1

The ones in that picture are way big. I have seen a few units do it, but it isn't normal. It seems like I see way more huge bumper numbers on trucks outside the military than in. It can be one line or two- but most NCARNG trucks I see are two lines. This pic shows closer to what it should look...

    M35a2 NATO Slave-Starting system

I have one like that, but it ends in two heavy duty jumper cable clamps. Very handy to have working on stuff that doesn't have a slave cable connector. I need to find a 2 pole- NATO adpater, but one of the ones opposite the usual ones so I can plug them into a truck with a NATO connector.

    M35a2 NATO Slave-Starting system

I wouldn't try to run anything for hours on end with an idling M35A2. Idling like that is very bad for the engine, and will lead to the same wet stacking issues that diesel generators run into. It sees no load, so it doesn't get hot and overfuels, and you end up with unbirned fuel washing down...

    m1009 engine problems

Sounds like you may have dropped a valve to me.

Need some help re: City Ordinances

Here is the path I would take given this- Flood them with compliance. Get the rated load capacity of all modern pickups. Take photos of every single truck over the limit you see, and file a complaint on every single one. Flood the office with complaints. They will either have to...

M1009 plus HMMWV Engine & Tranny

If it is NA the 6.5 long block will bolt in. You will just have to use all the CUCV accessories, water pump, manifolds, IP, etc. It is a bolt in- in fact the government is no longer rebuilding 6.2's, so any truck, CUCV or HMMWV, in Army service now that has a 6.2 gets a 6.5 when it gets a new...

    Deciphering TB 746-93-1

Also those markings I gave you were for when the 113th was still part of the 30th, pre modularization, as that is when your truck would have spent its time. At that time 5-113 FA was an 8 inch howitzer unit. Now the 133th is part of the 65th Fires Brigade and is a HIMARS unit.

    Deciphering TB 746-93-1

For the NCARNG during that period here is how most were marked Drivers Side: NCARNG 5-113 FA Or 30 IN 5-113 FA or 30 IN BDE 5-113 FA or 30 HBCT 5-113FA I have seen all those styles. Passengers side: HHB-XXX Where XXX is the individual truck number, those were done by local...

What should I look for in a 1028 purchase?

The two things I always look for- 12v conversion- I don't have an issue doing a 12v conversion, because I know I can do it right. But 99% of the conversions I see out there are hobbled together by folks who don't know what they are doing. If it is 24v, you are good. 12v, look at it very, very...

M1009 plus HMMWV Engine & Tranny

Is the 6.5 NA or turbo. If it is NA, it is a bolt in swap, you might have to use the old flexplate from the 6.2, but other than that bolt it it, using the CUCV manifolds and accessories off your 6.2. If it is a turbocharged 6.5 from a HMMWV, you have more work cut out for you. HMMWV's use...

Anyone want any M67 immersion heaters? $50 each, brand new in the crate. Too big to bring unless they are spoken for.
