Steel Soldiers MV of the month - Nominate Here January

I'm lacking the member's name (yes I searched) but I nominate the M813 with the experimental adiabatic motor. It's rare (2 built), unique/ugly with a hint of Night Rider, and the design concept really sets it apart from most MVs. Thread...

    M52a1

Judging by the shape of the grill, location of air filter, and style of air filter you can be assured it is an M52A1 with the Mack engine. To be sure the M809 series (M818 exactly in this case) would have the cummins 250, which has no turbo, and your most recent photo shows one. The data plates...

M35A2 from Hooks, TX to Daleville, AL

Having won multiple deuces out of that batch of turn-ins they came from the 72nd Medical out of Tinker, OK with "cease use" orders from Aug of 2012. Turn in papers showed they were brought to DRMO in Dec of that year. No indication when they were handed over to GL but still.. sitting a few...

    M35A2 Inspection at Hooks, TX?

If the deuce you won is from the same group of deuces I won then you should be in ok shape. Expect no fuel, to top off the radiator, and dead-dead batteries at least. Do of course plan to top off all other fluids and check for dead bulbs. Hit up Jeepsinker here on SS as he won some out there...

I have read a lot not sure to buy

Understandable. The Cummins 6CTA in the A2 models is quieter but just as powerful as the Cummins 250 in the A0 and A1 models. You will accelerate faster than a deuce, that is without question. I haven't clocked the 0-60 in a m900 series truck yet but someone else may chime in with figures.

I have read a lot not sure to buy

Every military vehicle is a gamble even if the numbers are right and markings show a recent rebuild. You just have to inspect, test drive, and be willing to pay to play should something happen. Make sure he has a title in hand too of course. If he is asking 15K for a M925A2 that isnt 100% then...
