Well I opted for the front end rebuild this weekend... I have the axle finished and waiting for paint as I take a breather... Its taken 8 hours of steady work to get it all...
Its possible to have a warped drum, high spot, low spot, etc but change the races first as that is where the drum is spun from durring cutting.
With the bearings I use the theory better safe than sorry so I would toss the bearings and get new... Don't be lazy... Always replace both the cup and...
Pull off the back cover and check for trash around the reeds then try retuning it...
Changing the wire is easy... it runs the length of the column from the button out the bottom of the gear box to plug into the main harness with the Mil butt connectors on both ends. Remember to tie on a piece...

Great work... regardless of the color coming its nice to see things done right!
The front harness is easy to do and falls right into place... Pull the gauge panel to do it...
Make sure you also buy the spider for the gauge panel as it is not part of the harness...
If needed the turn signal is a different harness also...
Flame heater wires are included with the main...

Just on principle.. I would go after Scott... The ideal of selling a engine with metal in the pan would infuriate me.
