I got a chance to use my catwalk today for the ist time since I installed it, it works even better than it looks, and it looks great!!! It takes 30 seconds to set it down and rig the ladder, and the same to stow it. no more over the fuel tank for me. JT
As a member and vendor, I would like to suggest that you call them and explain that you aren't satisfied with the order you received, maybe email them a picture of the condition as received. They would rather hear from you directly than from other people reading a post about them. I guess I...
If you go way back in this thread, and some others, I discovered that by installing the Dynomax 24216 just above the joint at the end of the J Pipe and adding most of the stack to the top of the muffler the sound is reduced very much. The taller the stack, the quieter the emitted sound is inside...
816 Someday met me at Aberdeen to deliver my new Catwalk. It is better than the pictures by a mile. Locks up in storage position with one pin that you reach from the ground, lower catwalk, un stow the ladder and set it's brace into the lift cable guide on the lower edge of wrecker body and you...
I just got back to the tent and read this one, he could park with the Gypst Compnay at the low end of the display area, no troubles. Papa Bear, you got that right, puffed a bunch today. Wish you could ever make it up here. JT
After JCAPPLERJR and I had several conversations, I think we have the rear suspension conflicts worked out. We will be mounting a 12' deuce bed this coming week. I removed the spare tire and davit so as to move the bed a little closer to the cab. I'll post some pics when I get back home from...
On My 925 it's pretty hard to shorten it, flanged at the end and a welded on flex section at the other end. Too bad it's too long to start with. How Much money was it? JT
I am at the show with Jerry can straps and lots of other straps and canvas seat covers for Deuce, CUCV, 5 ton and HMMWV. I have a $3K Deuce too but it is in NY State
John, are you istalling 5 ton front springs in the rear or air bag suspension? We are doing an M923 shorty and ran into trouble with the springs conflicting with the air can shafts. We are dealing with it but it's gonna be extra work. I guess I'm in trouble for chopping one too, but mine was a...
I use my M543A2 very often and for extended periods of time, that said, I think you are brilliant. Getting up and down 25 times a day really sucks, your setup would be perfect for me. Rather than pirating yours, would you PM me about maybe building and selling me one? John Tennis
The old timer, like Ace Tomato, used to drain gear oil, fill with kerosene, run it around for an hour or so, drain it and refill with gear oil, it was supposed to clean the sticky or lazy sprag unit up. Ace told me to do it but don't leave the kerosene in it too long. I never have done it as of...
Mine just R&Rd a 5 speed in an 813 this past week. If you have a spring seat driver seat, you only need to remove the pass bench seat. VDD, did you get yours where I got mine? JT
