I really hope this works out for you Marcos, but something smells fishy on this one to me. Between all of the overspray, even a "green" hose clamp on intake hose, freshly painted exhaust manifold, to the really low price. Makes me go, "hmmmmm"....I would get it running and pay very close...
That engine looks brand new from the outside. The paint still on the exhaust manifold and absolutely no rust stains anywhere. Just went and looked at pics again-looks like someone went a little crazy with the scary can! Extra/overspray on the wires to the temp sender, kill solenoid, on the data...
What the he$% is that sh$%????I have worked on many engines and have never seen that!! Any thoughts on what it is and how to avoid it happening??? Good God!
I will probably get lambasted for this, but I DESPISE walmart. I never go there and refuse to. What they have done to our small town retailers, etc is reprehensible. They are an awful company to their employees and I just deplore everything about them. They basically carry junk. Go to a name...
It appears you have really put in effort to eliminate all possible reasons for this. But, there is something still missing. There is no way it should take that long. I literally waited maybe 30 seconds for mine to prime and pump. I wish I had an answer for you. Have you checked the voltage to...
So, figured out that my fuel gauge was bad. Did all the testing thru the TM's(they are very useful!). Took it out and used another from another unit I had. Also dismantled the "bad" one. Basically it is a little electric type motor with 4 hair thin wires connected to the misc terminals. I...
With my very rudimentary set up when I did the test, I uncoiled my full length aux. fuel line, which I think was the first time it had been used, attached the one end to the 803, and just layed the other end in a 5 gal bucket that had fuel in it. It picked up prime within 30 seconds. I was...
After all these glowing reviews, I have just submitted a request for shipping an LMTV from Bragg to Mass. Trying to get a handle on shipping costs before I pull the trigger on one of these beasts. I will report back with my findings. Is this company just a broker or do they actually do the shipping?
You are right. Considering adding some kind of indicator light to show when aux pump is on. I can see instruments from my house and I could keep an eye on it if it is running continuously. Maybe Guy will chime in on reliability of that pump and how often he saw failures.
After running the 803 for 24 hours last week during an outage, Since I was using fuel cans to refuel, I realized I needed to make sure the aux fueling procedure was working. The aux pump was running in normal run position, so had to take the sheet metal off and check it out. Disconnected the...
Everyones advice is spot on. And I will also say it really is not a big deal. Take that top cover off, will make your life much easier and since you just bought it, you should go over things and check it all out. With covers off you will be able to see everything. I would suggest a little...
Light, Kloppk helped me with these same tests and he is dead on with his calculations for testing the resistors. I tested mine and ruled them out. He suggested I get another overload relay and it solved my issue. I had the 802 up to 32 amps for short periods this past weekend. I also think...
I am sure this has been discussed 100 times+, but This is the first time I have had a chance to really load up my recent frankenstein machine(took 2 bad ones and made 1 good one!). This thing is amazing. 62amps per leg. That is 14.9KW. I did run it at 125%ish for probably 30-40min and then it...
Hello all, my 803 generator trailer has the pig tail to hook to a military whatever. I would like to find the truck receptacle(male?) to rig up a converter to tow with my truck. Any tips or leads would be appreciated.
Had a mouse issue in exact spot on my 802. No fire, but was one loose connection away from it!! Follow advice you have already received here. The wires need to come off and either the crimped forks cleaned up really well or even replaced. Find another terminal strip on A-----n and either just do...
Lights still on here on Cape Cod. Wind gusts up to 77MPH here. My "new" 803 is sitting with fresh service just finished today and also re worked my connection. Hoping the power does go out so I can test the whole rig!!! Since I want it to go out, it never will.
