The mechanism can be taken apart and if the cam has its edges worn like knives, it has been slipping under the slide. A careful use of a file will fix it and the rest of the thing up, and a very good cleaning and some lithium grease. The trick is unbending the tabs holding the thing together in...
For consumers it has always been 5 watts DC input to the transmitter's output stage, meaning about 3-4 watts out when keyed down (and in theory anyway 12-16 watts peak), except in the distant past when some units were allowed more power for business use. I had a couple of those in my shop for...
Please do not have CB radios peaked and tuned. What this does is remove the modulation controls and crank the power up beyond the radio's ability to produce a clean and distortion-free signal.
:soapbox:
This causes interference to other channels. When you are listening on 18 and some idiot with...
Absolutely nothing like that. The only thing to do is to politely check that you have clear swath of 30KC or so, right? 6M is usually not crowded, right? I keep out of the sections that are on the band plan for DX or weak signal, etc.
Someone might complain to you about the signal being wide...
if you cut it instead of properly using two long and one short sections, be sure to seal the top very well or it will fill with water. Those are copper plated steel and will rust together. use silicon gel or vaseline.
from that document:
Although 25 degrees is a severe roll angle for a truck the size of the M35A2, it is only about half the angle required for the truck to roll over.
I don't want to try it. The 5 ton might be a little better due to weight (but not with taller tires).
Seems the pucker gauge...
The newer generator (60A model) has a safety feature that burns out a resistor when the volts go too high. A god video about the generator:

How about a loose "U" bolt holding the spring leafs to the axle. It may be very tight looking yet loose enough to slip under those great stresses, making a noise. Only 'resets' when turning the other way and back.
No prohibition. It might be considered rude. It's 15-20KHz. But the 6M band is hardly crowded. There are some freq's that are commonly used for standard bandwidth military sets, usually .000, .100, .200, etc. If they whine about the RT524, wait till someone fires up an old tube type RT68
That GRC-106 sounds like a vacuum cleaner in a tornado when it is running. Its the 400Hz outside blower buried in the amplifier case. 12000 rpm, 2 or 3 blades. It might be possible to mount a thermistor to the part of the heat exchanger that he radio heats up, and let that control the fan speed...
I thought the military CB was a GRC-106 set to 27.185.
The trouble with paining a CB is the 'chrome plated' plastic knobs and other doo-dads don't hold paint well. How can that be dealt with?
Does anyone know if this is a standard type of spline so that one could install a typical aftermarket steering wheel? The goal being a smaller one to avoid gutular interference..
