It won't be any faster than the stock one w/ same wheels unless the t-case is changed. been through all that.
53" wheels = 59MPH redline.
stock wheels and 939 t-case = 69MPH redline.
cruise 60-63 all day, not inconveniencing the line of 40 cars behind me in the right lane, making decent time...
Yes charge them "connected", but with separate chargers. It's always wise to leave vehicle power off when charging. If charging with a cheap charger, a low setting may be kinder to vehicle electronics.
Next time this sort of thing happens, the member could (if they understand how) save the displayed stuff as "source", which would help show us what s going on, possibly what the isue may be.
Good point and a deuce can get 10MPG with a few details done, but anyone who owns a deuce is probably interested in economy only as a statistic. I operated mine over a 4 year, 15K mile period on the highway at 2500RPM using 11.00x20 tires and it never had an issue. My goal is keeping off the...
As mentioned a program might have been downloaded that is doing this to you on your computer. I guess it has probably been resolved by now.
Turning off java & javascript usually stops it. Most would be surprised how many sites work very well without javascript except for certain functions...
Did you take the oil pressure regulator off and clean it?
(since we are asking questions about things that are not easy to reach) but that is an important thing and it is on the outside of the engine and they usually have some crud in them.
The cables, headsets, etc. can be used with either system.
The crew boxes and amplifier are absolutely not interchangeable. Do not try it. I can't swear that things will short out and smoke but I can say it will not work.
The VIC-1 has simple switches inside the crew boxes and this can be...
I could do something with the exhaust. The way the cooling fan blows, there is a huge torrent of air carrying the exhaust away with it. I have been thinking about how to 'angle' the blast so it tangents away from the vehicle.
I have had to put this off due to not being well, but I will resume...
I really enjoyed the last 'meeting' even though I had to arrive early and leave early. I apologize for showing up early but I am glad it was not a burden. I hope your buddy will consider staying a while, but I guess he has family in CO. He sure is knowledgeable on diesels.
PDF is a JPEG (JPG), or in multi-page PDFs, a series of JPEGs. A PDF is a type of "container file" that holds multiple JPEGs arranged in a certain way, like one stacks coins. The free reader is designed to display both the text and images as "pictures" (and separate OCR'd text if included), and...
Gimpy, I apologize. I did try to accommodate you.

When you save a GIF, like a 6 color GIF, as a JPG, you may end up with 5000+ colors. It does not play nice with the next editing session. It is because of the sampling for conversion that alternating colors become diluted based on...
suggestion: allow GIF image format for technical drawings, keep them in native format, do not downsample or convert to lossy JPEG.
A technical drawing to help a member might be complex (think radio set or VIC-1) and it may have features in the drawing or diagram that are 1 pixel wide. That's...
Be aware the amplifier of the VRC-53 takes 24V in and makes 12,5V and 2.5V for the PRC-25. Don't feed 24v to the PRC-25 or -77 or the magic smoke will come out.
Also the PRC-25, having a wonderful 2DF4 vacuum tube, takes about 0.5 to 1 second to quick-heat. So key it, wait 0.5 second, then...
On the PRC-25, is that what is being discussed? That plug and pins IIRC is the bypass for when the battery is in use and the external amplifier/chassis is not in use. If I am right, leave them alone. The PRC-25 full -35 manual with schematics is avail. unrestricted. The proper cable for that...
But the R442 like the RX in those transceivers is not the most sensitive, so getting the ant. somewhere near 5/8 wave or 1/4 wave around 52Mhz may do some good, just get it close. I like 5/8 where possible because it seems to match well. Next to that 1/4 wave. Others may like what they like...
IF you have it on low power (8 watts) you can get away with a mismatched antenna but the reception will suffer as will transmit range unless the antenna is tuned properly. The tube is way-under used in that thing and will last forever if not abused excessvely. BTW if you get ahold of the antenna...
