Speddmon, thanks for the fast reply. I agree it had that wire burning smell and only lasted a very short time. Do you know where I can get a new motor and which manual covers this area?
Just had a similar problem today on my Deuce. I was warming it up, letting it idle, it is in the teens here in Michigan. I turned on the blower to warm the cab and it ran for about 20 minutes ok. Then just as I got in to start my run around the neighborhood, the cab fills with a light smoke and...
Took cap off today to check fuel level and found this white buildup. What do you think it is? A virus? How do I get rid of it? Would a small amount of bleech be ok? I plan to fill tank to the fill line for inside winter storage and don't want the growth to continue.

I changed them all to the lower position as M813rc and Military Restoration recommended. My vinyl cover does not have the side straps as part of the cover. I have straps with Huckle Buckles that anchor the rolled up sides and rear flap. The rear straps are sewn to the cover but the sides straps...
The bolts hold the straps that are used to anchor the cargo cover when the sides are rolled up. I just haven't put the straps on yet. I hope this explains it better.
Putting on my cross bows today noticed there is about a 4 inch difference in height of the strap bolts depending on how I install the corners. The higher way would allow the cargo cover to be stored in a higher location but I was just wondering if there was a "correct military location" up or...
