    New Wheels and shocks

Hmm, re-looked your photos and see a "new" exhaust system? Any details on it? I'm looking to buy a replacement, stock exhaust header back exhaust system and have not found a "bolt-on" kit yet... Seems a lot of 1009s get systems made up at muffler shops...

    New Wheels and shocks

They look good for gloss, but I'd have to see the whole truck. Depends if you want to stay "pure" camo and authentic or not. If yes, then those Bilsteins need a coat of flat paint too... I kept my '09 "camo" and painted my wheels satin black and painted my new "blue" shocks flat black...

    My AN/GRG-46C Project is Finished

Wow, what an excellent outcome to your project! I bet finding all the gear was an "adventure" by itself... You should win an award for that commo shelter!

    Selling in the Forums

Yep, in the Army we call it "hurry up and wait"... Thank you for your Navy service - Go SEALS!!! :p

    Selling in the Forums

I dunno, maybe I'm late "to the party", but seems like several "new" sheriffs - ("deputized" mods maybe) lately????

My 1009 fuse block is melting-

Yeah, don't you love it that chinese crap is sold "on post"... Just like ACU "digital" handkerchiefs made in china that are sold at the PX and Clothing Sales here at Camp Shelby, MS... And the berets... :-(

    AS-1729/VRC antenna cb conversion

Thanks Mike - you replied while I was typing... I'll check the set-up you recommended!

    AS-1729/VRC antenna cb conversion

Me too meaning I have the mount, antenna base and antenna and would like to hook it up as a CB antenna... Reading this thread, so far appears to not be "feasible" with the USGI antennas that were used on the M1009 CUCVs? Any other experts out there with CB/mil radio/antenna advice? I know...

    M1009 rear window handle.

Good deal - looks like you got rid of an "ankle-biter"... I have a brand new crank assembly waiting for me at home - I'll look to incorporating your securing brackets in it too.,..

    Lifetime Oil Filter

I didn't see a price, but IMHO a throw-away, paper-pleated oil filter works best for my CUCVs. Too much trouble to wash that type of filter. You need a parts cleaner and compressed air (I have both in my shop) to get that nice and clean (but can be cleaned/dried by other methods too)... I'll...

    Stopbit's M1009 CUCV

Good to hear. Let us know what you think of it (fit, finish, etc.)... I've been "eye-balling" that one on eBay - just haven't pulled the trigger to buy it yet... ;)

    Stopbit's M1009 CUCV

Hmmm, don't know if that one will work without modifying... Do a "M1009" search on eBay Motors and you'll see a seller with the correct one for near that price plus small shipping charge (not mine...). I'd post the link, but "that's" not allowed around here...

    Battery Question 1008

I'll share what works on my two CUCVs: Wal-Mart Everstart MAXX batteries at 900 CCA and cost $85 ea before tax in TN. These are "regular" car sized batteries and will need a wood spacer between the battery top and the top battery mounting frame to hold them in the battery tray securely.

Wreckerman and Elmo available full time

On short notice, wreckerman893, his wife and "Elmo" picked up two M101A2 trailers from Redstone and delivered them damage free to my property in TN. I highly recommend this "team" for your recovery needs! Thanks Richard, Mike

    CUCV mileage question

I don't know about the digits lining up theory and unlike civilian vehicles, wear on the seats, armrest, flooring, engine compartment being clean are not determiners of low mileage as these were used by Soldiers and sat in motor pools a lot. Speedo heads are easy to change out too... I had to...

This is One Bad A** Trailer !!

Wow, 45 pictures AND a video to showcase that trailer! Someone is an "over-achiever" at that GL site compared to the "stingy" photographers at other GL locations... That was a nice machine shop trailer - especially with all the "new in the wrap" tools.

    Rebuilt injector pumps - maybe

Yep, that's true, but my first sentence IS relevant to the other SS member's comment about Porky... "Yeah, I'm tired too of his "minder ways" and "Glady Crabbitt" posture..." Decision? What decision?

    Rebuilt injector pumps - maybe

Yeah, I'm tired too of his "minder ways" and "Glady Crabbitt" posture... I posted a link to an eBay auction for CUCV parts and he busted my "newbie chops" so fast I got dizzy (didn't know "the rules" back then...)... :-x

M1009 and U-Haul tow dolly "duel"...

... tow dolly won, CUCV lost (too wide)... Just wanted to tell everyone that my M1009 CUCV was 3" too wide to fit between the fenders on my personal ex U-Haul tow dolly. It started to "fit" between the fenders and maybe would if I "forced it", but knew the dolly would not like it. Most...
