Most problems I have seen with 6.2/6.5 WVO use have been from poor warm up. I suspect it comes from the switchover and the WVO being cooler and when it hits the hot IP there is some thermal shock. I have a friend who did a 6.5 and put his solenoid before the stock fuel filter, it includes a...
I will get some pics tomorrow.
It is powered by a 1cyl diesel Briggs and Stratton engine (made in Germany) and has a Bauer 3 stage crompressor the manual says goes to 3500psi (or something close to that).
I thought I had it sold last month, but the buyer flaked out so it is back on the...
The 98 will have a computer controlled Stanadyne Injection pump, turbo wastegate, and if you get the 4L80E transmission it will be controlled by the same computer as well.
You can swap the computer and wwiring over, I ahve seen it done.
That is the same setup my 94 Chevy pickup I use as a...
Here is one for $122.99, likely more fresh than the Ebay one.

I found a lot more sources, but no other US ones that listed prices.
I get suspicious if the oil is "too clean", a 6.2 will make the oil look filthy fast. Real clean looking oil means it was just changed, possibly to hide something.
Tell him you want to see a cold start and not to run it before you arrive. A truck already running or warmed up might be hiding...
I would use Power Service additive instead of ATF. ATF has friction modifiers in it that will wear the IP and injectors. In addition the ATF is designed to resist burning and will leave ash deposits, while the Power Service additive is designed to burn clean.
The standard way we test to see if something has CARC in the military is to rub it with acetone and a rag. If paint comes off, it is not CARC.
So acetone should work.
When I have seen it it ran from 20 degrees to -20, but I suspect humidity comes in to play as well as there was never a consistant temp/load formula that would do it.
It was actualy kind of funny- after tons of dire warnings about NOT using space heaters to my troops, they all saw me outside...
I have actually seen air cooled units wet stack when the outside temp is very low. It is a function of the cooling system being to efficient for the load presented, and that can happen with air cooled engines when it is cold enough outside.
A few cheap electric space heaters make a great load bank for just that. 1500w space heaters are $20, 3 will load a 10k up enough to prevent wet stacking.
NC makes it a real pain to get a title without a title or SF97. You need notarized statements and bills of sale, an inspection by the DMV, and you must post a bond.
A GL bill of sale would be worthless unless you can get a notarized signature on it. Even then it might be worthless.
Trust me...
35 years and older qualifies for antique tags in NC.
NC DMV is a royal pain on requiring commercial tags. I had an E-350 work van and actually got pulled over, told to go through the weigh station, and got a ticket for having regular tags. Pickups, Vans, if you will be over 4000 pounds that...
