    REB Kit

I installed the REB kit in my M35 about a year ago. There are no air shift transfer cases in my area. Here are some pics of the parts.

    Best Coolant / Antifreeze

Cylinder liner pitting due to cavitation is only a problem if you have wet sleeves. Multis are dry sleeve.

    More efficient Deuce..?

Hard to say what the cost would be. Helical gears would be much easier and cheaper to produce than hypoid gears. Maybe, higher gears would justify more useage... If I had show a ROI to justify my hobbies, I'd have no hobbies.

    More efficient Deuce..?

Why not develop faster rear gears? Someone here said that Timken/ Rockwell developed a set of faster gears so it can be done. Just need someone to pony up for the NRE...

    Downshift or not to downshift?

Bjorn, A vacuum pump operates under very little load when at high vacuum. An engine is the same way.

    Downshift or not to downshift?

Just one point of correction. A gas engine doesn't really have any more braking ability than a diesel. Once the throttle butterfly is closed, it isn't pumping anything.

    1953 Reo M35 Gasoline OA331 Help...

Sorry, but the full flow oil filter was my idea. We are both in SD, though. If you have oil mist blowing out the oil filler you either have lots of blowby or have overfilled the oil bath filter inside of the oil filler.

    1953 Reo M35 Gasoline OA331 Help...

The fitting on the rear of the oil filler is the air inlet to the crankcase. DO NOT plug it. It is part of the PCV system. Here is you add a full flow oil filter:

    Bed intallation on bobbed deuce

The flanges that hand down from the M105 bed are the right width for the M35 frame. However, they are too short. They just extend a little past the curve of the top of the M35 frame. I'll take some pics today. I had to move the rear axle back about five inches to center the wheels in the...

    Bed intallation on bobbed deuce

I welded extensions to the four rear mounts and drilled through the side of the frame rails. The fronts used modified M105 clamps cut and narrowed to fit the M35 frame.

    bypass filter systems

I was going to add a long-winded reply but the last link said it all. I would like to add that water and oil will create acid and if you don't change the oil or at least get it analyzed you risk damage. One of my OA331s was rebuilt by the county shop for snow plow service. One of the...

    Deuce Modifications For Better Streetability

Why would a sprag transfer case care if you have lockouts? It would effectively be the same as removing the front driveshaft.

    What are these rims for?

They are $150 each; they don't want to budge unless we buy a huge quantity. Their relatively high prices have resulted in them having some unique items in their salvage yard.

Anyone Need 5 Ton Super Single Rims/Tires?

Anyone know what these rims are from? They have lots of them.

    Gas Deuce engine flooding

The problem with today's gas is not that it lacks lead; it is that it evaporates more easily. The hot soak after shutdown floods your engine. The fuel vapors cannot make it out of the filter. As gasoline became better and more easily vaporized, Reo did away with the exhaust heat. What you...

    Multifuel engine life

There was a higher speed gear set designed. If someone can get me the drawings, I will have them quoted.
