    Air shift or REB kit

I clearly stated "m35 transfer case" in my email. But, you never know... IF I replace the sprags, how reliable is the sprag transfer case? Obviously, they are a wear item but how long should they last? Gerhard, Are you offering to sell just the sprags themselves?

    Air shift or REB kit

The REB kit is no longer available. Anyone know of a source for an air shift transfer case near SE south dakota?

    Spark plug adapter

You don't need the adapter. Use a civy spark plug and wire. Trim ~1/4" insulation off of the wire and stuff it into the disty.

    M211 Ignition?

The lines to the military disty are for the governor. Neither the civy nor military 302s had vacuum advance; it wasn't used in the big trucks. It would be of limited value in a large truck since you seldom are at light load. You can stay 24V regardless of whether our not you keep the...

    M211 Ignition?

The best thing you can do is convert to a civiliian style distributor. Get a disty from an early chevy six. You can also convert to a pertronix electronic ignition. I used the 1167 pertronix in my m35 but the gmc is the same internally. You will need to keep the original ballast resistor and...

    Air shift or REB kit

The transfer case is adjusted OK. The reverse sprag is fine; I can back out of anything. If I start from a stop (jerk), the sprags catch. It would slip once in awhile this summer so it is probably safe to say that it is worn out.

Thanks for the advice. REB it is.

    Air shift or REB kit

My sprag doesn't work in this sub freezing weather and I can't get around without the front axle. It is adjusted fine and works in reverse. If I start from a stop, it works (sprags catch). The sprags will not catch when in motion. There are no air shift transfer cases in my area (within...

    bcvxbcv

Mangus, The external sprag linkage only engages the reverse sprag. The transfer case is, by default, in forward drive. When the tranny is moved into reverse, the linkage moves the reverse sprag into gear. When the tranny is moved out of reverse, this force is removed and a spring in the...

FYI. You do not have to start in 1st gear with the sprag transfer case.

    water temp sending unit

This is from the reo oa331 engine and clutch overhaul manual: "Using constant current control, set at 26.8 each (??? mA), voltmeter reading must be 18.4 to 19.6V with unit in water at 200f having minimum flow of 10fpm past the unit and with power on form a minimum of 6 minutes." Not easily...

24 volt headlight bulbs for the deuce.

You can buy adapters to convert to an H4 halogen bulb: This one place: http://www.rallylights.com/hella/H4.asp If you do a search, you will find many others, some are cheaper.

transfer case slips out of low

It is coming back out. I will try to use the sprag/front section from one transfer case and the main section from the original transfer case. I can get a complete sprag transfer case locally for $100 and may go that route if I can't piece the two together successfully. Or, I can always add...

transfer case slips out of low

Well, the shift fork apparently has a hole which mates with a set screw on the fork so there isn't any adjusting to be done. The detent seems a little weak so maybe that can be improved on. Otherwise I will have to put the good sprag drive on the original transfer case... What is a fair price...

transfer case slips out of low

I just swapped out my non functioning sprag for another sprag. The good news is that the sprag works but the transfer case slips out of low range on occasion. It seems to do it under low load such as between shifts. I have noticed that it takes very little movement of the lever for it to slip...

    Inexpensive aftermarket heater

There is an adapter for the defroster hose. I just noticed that there is a "p" suffix on the ebay heater part number but there isn't one on the corporate website's part number. I'll contact corporate tomorrow and see if it is significant.
