Rear bed tool bnox tow bar install
I put my tow bar in the bed next to a home made tool box, but it could be placed all the way up front under the headache board without the tool box. Just another idea for you.
After reviewing the TM 11-263 for the GRC-9, TM 11-230C for the SCR-694, TM 11-4009 for the BC-1306 and TM 11-4015 for the RT-12/TRC-2... I have come to the uneducated (radio dummy) belief that the model radio I have
( RT-12/TRC-2) does not have the BA-1293 Bias battery plug in or BA-1293 Bias...
I have acquired a RT-12/TRC-2 labeled radio that appears to be complete and in really great condition. In researching what I need to see if the radio will work I received the following information
"Take the Receiver out of the chassis and look for a small battery colored green, that is either...
Thank you for the information. Going around 60-62 mph and trying to stop quickly is a chore with stock brakes. Saving up for the 11" set up. Also, I got REAL lucky as I am picking up a late fourties Koenig jeep hard top in great shape with all the windows for free! (sadly no doors)
Jeep after markings were placed on it. Also, I installed the first aid kit and bracket correct for WW2 1943 and the under seat tire pump correct for WW2 1943. The jeep winter enclosure that I purchased
shipped today so I will be putting it on the jeep and will post pictures of that as well.
I...
It is great to see the start of another of the maestro's resurrections of old steel soldiers. Cannot wait to see the transformation.
(zout really gets his strength, like superman, from old O.D. iron when he touches it)
I kept the V6 but I went WAY BEYOND on the fix the body part and buy some combat wheels. At the end of this thread I am posting the list of every part, every nut, bolt, piece of sandpaper etc. that it took to do this restore. I kept a running list of all my costs (no labor and nothing that I...
Thank you for your comments. Almost done. There is the radio to add, the first aid kit, the wipers, the hand air pump, the jack and jack handle, an accessory outlet under the dash, and other accessories.
By the way...I saved the old data plates as they match the frame. To prove that they are the originals, I have pictures from purchase to restoration showing the original data plates on the vehicle up to replacement with the new ones.
Thanks again for the compliment
Here is a picture of the glove door removed from the jeep for restoration. These are the original data plates for this 43 GPW. I extracted all the information from them and transferred it to the new data plates I bought. The data plates have no information in the blank areas so that you can put...
