I held the 1998 drivers side plate over the Old NP208 plate and clocked it to the correct angle. I then used a sharpie drew out where I wanted to cut both plates. I then cut out each plate and added the new piece to the old NP208 shift cam. Welded her up and its done.
I went to the junk yard but could not find a 1988/1989 passenger side drop NP241 Cam shift plate. I found a million drivers side NP241 drop plates which have the mirror image of what I need. Those plates are not identical but are the same thickness. I took one off of a 1998 chevy 2500 with...
Sounds like you have the wrong belt on the 12v Alt. I will see if my truck is off the rack today. If so I will get you that belt part number. As far as the lower radiator hose I will check on that as well. I believe its the same as on the M1008/M1028 ect.
So you only have one Alternator...
Check your fuse block. see if its hot or slightly warped. if so clean all of your grounds. Check your voltage on each battery. Do you still have the Duvac system? Its the box at the front left (drivers side) of the engine compartment. bolted to the fender in the front of the fender. If you...
My new replacement NP241 will be here Friday the 10th. I won't be working on the A/C now for 2 to 3 weeks. I have a few events I need to be at and just won't have the time now for my rig be down. On that note though I have picked up the new vents and dash vent cover to transform her into an...
Well they are sending another NP241 to my Trans shop. No hassles. Would have been great if it worked the first time around though. Oh well move on because S.H.I.T. just happens sometimes.
.
Well the cable from Summit Racing was not the correct length. Not sure if the factory stuck the wrong cable in that package or what. The trans shop ordered the same part number above (25515599) and it was 36.1". Worked perfectly.
Everything was finished this morning at the trans shop...
Love the work you do. That dash looks really good! I doubt you can even see the old speaker areas when you are sitting in the seats. Besides they really don't stand out anyway, great job.
I will get a picture of the "Jig" when I get back to the shop. Its really simple to make. I used a piece of 3/4" or 5/8" thick scrap plywood. I cut it slightly larger than the 4 factory rivets holes holding the whimpy stock bracket in place. I then held the piece of plywood over the enlarged...
I highly recommend the upgraded bushings and shackles from ORD (Off Road Designs). Get the grazable ones and get the FUSH kit while you are at it. I have an alignment jig I can send you for cutting out the larger diameter hole in the frame. Real simple to use and make if you want to. Let me...
Today I ordered a newly rebuilt NP241. $1300 and some change delivered. I figured I might as well go all new as my M1010 only has 5,300 plus miles on her right now. I also painted the W 700R4 Crossmember. Looking at the W crossmember it looks like I will lose some ground clearance unless...
I had a M0128 with 4" ORD lift with HMMWV wheels and 37" BFG BAJA Mts. They rubbed. Go with the 4" ORD lift and add the 1" zero rates. also you should get there rear axle relocation kit. It may come with the rear zero rate. This is one good looking combination that works extremely well off...
On my Blazer I have a 6" lift from ORD with all the options. DO NOT FORGET THE 2"DROP PITMAN ARM. This seems to be over looked a lot. your steering will horrible if you don't add that 2" drop pitman arm. Cross over steering would be best. I suggest getting all the optional pieces like the...
