    Spin on oil filter kit

WoW I am such a :cookoo:. I just went to find the utube link because I saved it to my favorites and I WAS WRONG. It was you Westfolk, that was emailing me, and it was your videos i was watching.[thumbzup] So let me say this loud and clear. Thank you Westfolk for making the videos...

Torque Rod/Dogbone Replacement, the easy way

    Nice article.

    Looking for metallurgist info.

That dosnt sound like a bad idea. But all the stress would be at the ends where the shaft would be welded to the other parts where the bushings go thru.

    Looking for metallurgist info.

Funny, mine need replacing. You cant remove the bushings from the I-beam type?

    Looking for metallurgist info.

Squirt-Truck, Your lab can with out a doubt flood me with so much information i would never be able to understand it all. I don't think I need to waste your time asking for a massive amount of info that isn't necessary. If i was making them for production to sell to the military I would. I...

    Looking for metallurgist info.

No i haven't. I was only going off looking at the molded look of the dogbone.

    Looking for metallurgist info.

Its just the axle seals, they should dry up when I get more miles on it.

    Looking for metallurgist info.

So after some thought and discussion about modifying the torsion bars, I think I need some advanced knowledge about metallurgy. I have been a welder for over 20 years working mostly in aerospace and medical equipment and have a lot of geeky knowledge but i don't know everything. My existing...

    Spin on oil filter kit

I haven't purchased any yet due to cash-o-la. I dont even know the prices between Westfolks and Jankotas. What I do know is both members make parts that people want to buy. Debate all you want, it's like ford or Chevy (I'm a Chevy man myself). The how to videos on utube from both are...

    Front main seal??? Bad Leak!!!

Just thought i would give a little update. I drained about 11-12 gallons (45 quarts) form the pan today. Haven't done anything else. Too windy today. I got lucky tho, Napa had a sale running today on oil 5 gal bucket ends up costing $2.45 a quart.

Torque Rod/Dogbone Replacement, the easy way

This is a great thread for a numbskull like myself. Because of my lift and 6 53's, they relocated the 3rd axle about 8" to the rear. All the dogbones had to be cut and lengthened. They cut them in 1/2 and adding in a section of material. It looks ugly but it's been holding. These are the...

    Front main seal??? Bad Leak!!!

I thought it had a separate pump (and igniter) that worked on its own switch. When I got this it was disconnected. After looking into it, it seemed that it was disconnected because it leaked when the switch was activated. Well either way, the fdc is my first workaround.

    Front main seal??? Bad Leak!!!

Good insight. I have plenty of pullers on my shelf and have been know to make a few special ones in years past for my Triumph.

    Front main seal??? Bad Leak!!!

If there is one thing I have is tools. Whether their the right ones who knows. I see the Specialty tools shown in the TM's but trying to identify which tools p/n goes to what description is a PIA in the TM's. The rest of the info seems to be wrote out in a pretty straight forward format.

    Front main seal??? Bad Leak!!!

plym49, I just saw your post. I hear what your saying and I don't know. The new HH really seemed to fix the starting issue. I dont know what the side affects of running the old HH would be.

    Front main seal??? Bad Leak!!!

I noticed it is without shocks shortly after i purchased it. Due to the lift that was done, The top shock plates will not line up with the lower plates. I need to fabricate a new top plate that will project about 6" further forward than the stock one. I have a pressure washer with a hot box at...

    Front main seal??? Bad Leak!!!

Thanks for the info. If I have to go as deep as Aaron did then so be it, but I will defiantly start with a oil change and bypassing the FDC. I know it takes 22 quarts , but wondering what the concessions is about what type of black gold to put back in. Since I don't have one of those fancy...

    Front main seal??? Bad Leak!!!

I have quite a few of 5 gal buckets right next to my plow (that i need to move to make room for my boat). I remember other threads about my HH (thank you again Martincox) discussing bypassed FDC's and what not. I guess I will go back and do some re-reading about it and about how to bypass it...

    Front main seal??? Bad Leak!!!

I don't know, but i will look into it. How did your manifold heater fail like that? My heater is on a switch on the dash. I would think if your weren't on the switch you weren't pumping fuel to it. I understand anything is possible, I am just trying to get a better understanding of whats going...
