K9Vic,
Damaged during installation? You would be hard pressed to damage these Hubs with a Nuclear Bomb. There made from Chromolly steel and stainless steel. The spacer is bronze. The spring is steel. How ANYONE could damage these units by installing them is beyond me. I sent SEVERAL pics...
So what your saying is that when you buy a part from NAPA and its defective you call the manufacturer in China to complain or trouble shoot it? Just so you know I called YUKON First. They are the ones that told me to call ORD.
ORD should back up what they sell. If they wont then they should...
I am definitely not going to get mad at you for your advise. First of all I didnt pay for it. Secondly you have a valid point for most situations and I would agree. The problem is that YUKON Asked my mechanic to keep going through the hubs trying to figure out if they were even the correct...
Thanks SSCHAEFER3,
Yes those are all of the problems I had (except mine would assemble without any hangups.) Reading those posts really chaps my hide since ALL I HEARD from YUKON (Jeff and Dale) and ORD (Chris) was how good these hubs are and how they have had very little problems (BS)...
Chains rules the day in snow/ice. Studded tires are a second choice. I may actually stud a set of my 37" Baja MTs HMMWV tires. I would also sipe the all the lugs.
Yah Cucvnut,
I think I may just go with a 3:1 transfer case VS 5:44. I really don't need to go that low. I just wanted my rig to have it "just in case I ever needed it".
Hi DogHead,
Its true I still have a stock engine. But I now have 37" tires and plan on running some extreme Low Range tranfercases ect. The stock Warn hubs are pretty much garbage and are pretty much the number one fail point when serious 4x4n is done. The second most common fail point would...
Thanks Skinny. Since I basically swapped the Yukons for his Warn Super hubs Im only out about $170. I agree the Mechanic should not loose money on an Item I brought him to install. Since I have always been honest with my Customer service from ORD when other have bashed them I thought I would...
Today was a very disappointing day for me. As you all know I spent some serious coin and picked up everything I needed to rebuild my Dana 60 King Pin axle. $1200 on parts and about $600 on labor and I had all new bearings seals king pins stage 8 lock nuts, 35 spline Yukon Chromolly Axles and...
I have a kit from ORD. Not the cheapest but very complete. I like the idea of the 2500 rear springs from a 94 2500. If you don't need the weight capability of the stock leafs then the 2500 leafs look like the way to go.
Never crawl under a vehicle supported by a Hi Lift. You can get a 4 ton (4" to 20" in three pumps) Floor jack for $99 at Harbor freight and a set of there 6 ton jack stands for $37.
On another note. Im glad you fixed your truck.
You most likely have a cracked transfer case as well. It may be a hairline crack that's hard to find (until your off road and it breaks the tail house off). Stupid GovLiquidation! I wont ever buy a CUCV that has ANY side dents in side(s).
I wish we were closer. I don't know what I could do but I would help you at least with an extra set of hands and tools. Prayer list has your name on it.
Replace your King Pin bushings and springs. This will 99% of the time be your problem. This would also be a great time to repack all your bearings. A new steering stabilizer should also be installed as the one on your rig is most likely shot. The steering stabilizer has nothing to do with...
