Great pics and it shows the ammo can probably will not work after all.
Too skinny for a standard 7-11 soda cup.
I don’t drink them often but would like to have a place for it when I do.
One could definitely build something off the base...
Something a little more low key is what I’m looking for.
I don’t want the focus and prominent feature of the interior to be cup holders.

I will probably cut down a .30 cal ammo can, remove 24v fan and install on the fire extinguisher bracket.
I mentioned these earlier in the thread.
Short of a cup of coffee or a standard soda can, how do they hold up?
Do they hold a large soda styrofoam cup without issue?
I got tired of spending money on new parts and still chasing issues.
Finally threw in towel and installed Shrader valves in the wheel stems.
All manual now but no more ctis airing down tires, etc.
Will keep system installed and intact for future use.

Don’t have a plate on the Dash like that and would like something a little less “in your face” as far as aesthetics go.
The others are for the bucket seats, which I don’t have in a M1008A1.
The one for the 5 ton wouldn’t be bad, but no place to really place it like...
I have a 24v fan mounted there.
I’ve seen the drink holder that fits the ash tray slot but don’t know how they are in actual use with something bigger than a coffee cup.
I would like to see some ideas and solutions you guys have come up with to hold a drink without spilling.

I know I could do a center console with cup holders and sit it on the seat, but don’t want to lose that space.
Either store bought or hand made or something cool...

I have them in all my trucks (1000w units).
That is the exact reason why I had a brand new (not rebuilt) Starter on the shelf in my shop.
Have a brand new alternator too, along with quite a few other new spare parts.
I might still have to walk if it quits, but won’t have to wait for parts.
