Well the winch is new to that truck,the drive shaft was kinda seized on ,so I clean shaft and stub on winch it's a snug fit ,but I did put some anti seize on shafts,maybe better with out?
Also see another problem when sheer pin breaks being on a hill nose up ,the drive shaft sides back and falls off winch.That could hit the oil pan or break drive shaft,Iam going to make some kinda hanger for that.
Single line and rpm just off idle with wheels driving.Do you guys think it's better to always double the line?I used lots of winches on smaller trucks and jeeps.Kinda new to the heavy trucks.
I have a m818 half stuck in the mud,the back wheels half in the mud a little up hill and the winch keeps breaking shear pins,do you guys think that is normal? :jumpin:
What I have is a rattle behind the balancer,it looks like a collar broke loose on balancer,or is there some kind of spacer there? never had a balancer off ,do you need a puller?Anybody ever have this happen?thanks :lol:
