for the temp switch, try searching ebay first since that is easiest. if not, i get mine from www.srsales.com but you have to go through an acct setup routine and get approved. a small pia. they are hit and mis for onan parts on the 002/003 but when they do have something they...
pull the wires off the voltage adjustment pot. take a voltmeter and set it to ohms. off the top of my head i believe its a 1k ohm pot. check the pot to see what the resistance is between the 2 contacts then turn the dial up and down to see if the resistance changes. no change then you can try a...
thats a good find. we do have a member here wciguy i think that has them i think for about $4. they are not factory onan parts but i have gotten them a couple times and they are the same material as the onan ones i bought and they are spot on every time. i actually have the gaskets all in a cad...
hi, sorry been on vacation all week. the battery tray and straps are all the stainless originals. i just glass bead everything in my cabinet to make it all look new again and clean it up. the ends for the cables can be found at aircraft spruce. i think i posted the links somewhere in this...
rob its just a short tube about 11/2" long after the last fuel filter. a little metal band clamp with a bolt holds it to the flywheel housing if i remember right.
manufacturer makes no difference as to dollar amt that these go for. what your seeing is just coincidence or regional differences in what the generators are going for. there are no real differences between the gen sets.
haha yeah jerry its not somethin you really want to do standing in a big puddle of wet slush and rain. we got about 8". now the rain has that down to about 3.
yes that basically right. its from a diesel running too cold resulting in an inefficient burn. the unburned fuel builds and collects in the exhaust usually spewing and spitting out as a black oily carbon. over time this builds on the piston rings, valves and everything else. 65% load might be a...
are you able to measure the ball to confirm size? also if you can find a 10/32 machine screw to see if it threads into your broken plastic one. maybe you could also take a real closeup picture of your broken plastic piece and post it here.
john i think he is looking for the plastic end that snaps onto the injection pump. im not sure if they are the same as the 16b. for the op or anyone else that can confirm the specs on the 16b. the linkage end on the 003/002 is a 10/32 thread with a .310" ball
the dcvr are still made. you can buy them brand new from southern automotive. i have the pt# around somewhere if you need it. i think they are about $150 though.

at this point to keep this from becoming a sale thread please post questions in the classified ad or pm me.
from the manufacturer that makes the electronics for the gauges rates frequency accuracy to .1hz and the volt and current meter at .5%. far more accurate than originals. i will post the instructions as a downloadable pdf. frequency meter install can be done in 5-10min. the volt/amp meter maybe...
you can wire it however you want. in the picture i have them hooked to the wires from the original voltmeter. what i will do here eventually is run a wire down along with the current pickup coil and you can attach it directly to the underside of the lug/splitbolt. this will monitor the actual...
