thats good jerry. before zeus puts it back together he should stick the fuel hose coming from the filters in a bucket and turn the pump on to double check for bubbles going into the pump.

it is possible there were none. thats great you got it out. i highly recommend you coat the threads in copper antisieze compound. it will make life much easier down the road
yeah thats usually a brass or gold colored metal washer. i would order one and make sure its there when you put it back together. even if you had the old style pump i still believe that washer is there. i have never seen a pump without one.
if you drill all the way to the bottom of the hole where the copper gasket would be sitting you will separate the electrode from the body. you dont want to do that. just drill in 3/4" of so. enough to get an easy out in there or something then the whole thing will come out together....hopefully.
while cranking i would think you would see some white smoke or something if those injectors were firing. as one of the other guys said before, the pump may be pumping but it does have to be building atleast 1750 lbs in order to pop those injectors. you will need to pull an injector, hook it up...
well not really. as long as you dont go so deep that you bottom out and separate the electrode from the body. if you do that then the electrode could end up in the engine.
Well i would do whatever i had to to get it out. If you pull the injector just the tip sticks through into the port. Pull the injector, Drill it, heat it and just work it that way.
