I finally got "Bruce" home. This newbie is pretty excited

I would wonder if someone put a dump bed on it, or was planning to.

    HMMWV use and LESO

Cool. Ditto on needing well trained drivers. Not just for safety but also to make the best use of the vehicles.

    DMV asked for FMVSS proof..

Off-road only is for HMMWV's only except for a few other rare exceptions. They might want the FMVSS because it's less than 25 years old. Or, as mentioned above, she had no idea about the process for MV's. With a little homework and some polite phone calls I'm sure it will be resolved in your...

    Safe boost?

My deuce with LDS will get up to 12 psi or so and occasionally peak at 13. EGT's are just below 1200. Here's a little report my brother and I made.

I have several IR and clear lights for my deuce and Mutt. Unfortunately they are a little too big to fit in the bumper of my Econoline. That would look nice.

Couldn't find the railroad forum :) M123 Moves RR Station

    newstar coil question

I know on G838.org they don't have much good to say about the shiny Asian coils. They burn up quickly. You also might look on G503.com.

    Bang!! Pop-Pop-Pop-Pop....

Glad it is something relatively easy to fix. It could have been worse.

    Hubs driving me crazy

I also made vent lines for my axles, tranny and transfer case. I ran a plastic line along the frame and put T's in for the axles, etc. I ran the forward end up under the hood. I put a little filter on the end to keep dust and dirt out. It is a little work but solves a lot of potential issues.

    Newbie

Welcome from Kansas City, MO. Read through the forums and do your homework. Deuces are a blast, they just take a little more work than a civi vehicle. It's worth it.

Keeping an M35 at my Residence

I feel the same way about how the word "commercial" is used. While a commercial vehicle is used to make money they also use the word for any larger than soccer mom vehicle. It's that way all over.

Keeping an M35 at my Residence

I would find a RV parking lot at a local storage facility just in case. That's where I keep mine.

Usually the keyed switch on a deuce just gives power to the push button so you can disable the button.

rust neutralizers? Am I in fantasyland here?

I also use OSPHO. I get as much rust off with a wire brush of one sort or another first. For small parts I'll submerge them in it. For big parts I'll use a brush and paint it on.
