They are like the armor IR lights you see on tanks but they have a clear lens. They usually have a low/high beam. They also make a armor spot light if I remember right but it it on/off only. Dave will know for sure. He's a tanker.
I think most of them don't seal well. If the window channels don't help you might look at some automotive weather seals. You can buy generic seal material from JC Whitney or other such places. I have the same problem.
It partially depends on what tires you want to run. I am going to put 11.0x20 radials on my A2. I flipped the hubs to run singles in the rear. I will use the stock rims for the new tires. Some larger tire do require the larger rims.
Ditto. Check fluid level, vent then wheel bearing seals. It couldn't hurt to repackage the hearings anyway since that fluid coming out will wash out the grease.
I have a couple of friends who have Mutts with heaters nearby. I'll try to get a few pics tomorrow when the sun's up and bright. It sounds like a good plan to me.
