Trimble Trimpack Transpack Transpac Transpak GPS receivers
Buckets of good information on the Trimpack/ SLGR/ AN/PSN-10 on Brooke's page there. I have the setup with the big green square antenna - the 17572-00 - which are around with or without the magnetic base. There's also a black version...
The AS-3900/3900A will work as the RT-524 and RT-246 will take a VSWR of 4.0 where I think the worst match on a 3900 is something like 2.3-2.8 max. Using one would cut out all the trouble with the CX-4722 and the matching motor/assy in the MX-6707 which - as previously mentioned - fails a lot...
No problem...glad it worked out. I spent hours upon hours sorting those things out a dozen years ago and still fix probably two-three a year for collectors when I can get the parts and my Motorola R2600 feels like turning on properly. I love those sets. No coincidence that they served us for...
Don't know much about the Greek radios other than I *think* they were made by Tadiran and are therefore the same spec as the Israeli sets (same nomenclature for openers.) Because the channel spacing is different you're going to have fun sourcing spares because you would think only *some*...
Yeah those readings are high-high. If I didn't know better I'd say the radio's getting fed much higher than 25VDC, or there's still a problem with the A9400. Weird you had all that grounding/ long leads. I have *never* seen that before.
That main filter just after the antenna microswitch...
The most up-to-date manuals for those are found here:

There are lots of earlier revs out there but they're all from the pre-silicon days and won't help much in that regard. The basic compatibility of A9000s and A9400s is spelled out in the manual, but here's the short form...
AM-2060s show up all the time on the E-Place (one up right now), but your best bet is probably Pvt. Jarhead here: AM-2060 For Sale (and that's a decent price.)
If you're shopping elsewhere for them (swap meets etc.) make sure you get the cable that connects between the AM-2060 and the...
There are a bunch of different test points on A9000. One problem is that the A9400 module (module with all the transistors screwed into the right side of the radio as you're looking at the faceplate) and the A9000 module have to be compatible. There were two variations of A9400: the original...
They show up very rarely, but when they do they're on Ebay. I've never seen one offered for sale on any of the collector/ MV forums ever. I got mine at one of the MVPA conventions a few years ago and have only seen one other since - on Ebay.
(seller 'beltfed34' - Austin Aviation - had the last...
Sounds like you could use a manual for that truck. Anyway, without making this confusing - you have 4 batteries in that truck, but they're all hooked together. Radio runs on 24 volts. You need to find which of the '-' negative terminals has the battery cable that goes straight to your frame...
Hard to say what would've been in there, however one of the slots is labelled "KY-75 RCU" which means it had the KY-75 crypto unit in there ('RCU' is the Remote Control Unit for it) and that specific device was used for HF sets. I don't know specifically what HF sets would've been in there, but...
What type of early military GPS unit do you have? Pic would be great.
Sounds like a fun setup. I want to get my GRC-122 out to a show at some point but the truck it's sitting on needs a fair bit of TLC first.
Painted two different color greens and black done in broad stripes/ swatches, with no pattern approaching anything as elaborate as either the 3 or 4-color NATO or MERDC paint schemes. I have the actual patterns right from the Canadian gov at work - really badly hand drawn things for the most...
There are tons and tons of those things out there...three a week on Ebay on average...and $200 is on the high side by a fair chunk for a set of unknown completeness or working condition.
The solenoid *seems* to be the only thing that needs to be changed, as when the 12V starter is used in the 24V setup, it seems to be the solenoid which fails after awhile. YMMV.
Also, to the original poster on the air conditioning subject...the $1000 is probably the only way to go as even if you found one in the junkyard you could strip all the air-conditioning stuff off of, it would use a refrigerant called 'R12' which is now illegal, and converting them to run...R134...
That's brilliant...I never thought of going with Marine stuff. I'll look at that option when I replace this deck because -and word of warning to the original poster - if you do any sort of rough road driving with the M1009 - especially dusty summer logging roads - you will just DESTROY the...
Correct. As I said before, the literature that comes *with* the large rust out kit also says the body is not to be repaired if there's rust out in the frame member indicated in the posted photos. But that's because Uncle had spare bodies in the system, where we poor collectors have no such...
Lots of information on correct markings etc. out there if you want to go full-on authentic. Nice beast! Welcome to the M151 owners fraternity. It's really hard to hop in any other type of military jeep and drive it after you've driven a 151 for any length of time. :)
The radio 'hole' is the old-school GM one with a blanking plate over it as set up for the 80s GM factory radios. Any of your local electronics stores or car audio stores can hook you up with a stereo that will fit, and usually the installed price isn't that much different from the...
