Hmmm betcha my Praga would pull it in 1st or 2nd in crawler range. If it doesn't weigh much more than a T-55 I know it can. Too bad you're so far away :(
I am a civil war reenactor and heres how we waterproof it. Normally we paint the convas a certain color first so if you need to touch up the color then brush or spray on several light coats of whatever paint you wish. If no paint desired then buy yourself some boiled linseed oil and apply...
All I can say is God bless you Chris for giving the old girl a second chance! That looks like a heck of a project that most would have shyed away from, you've definitley worked a miracle there! :D
There are quite a few 805's of different configs here in the states. Cant remember where but some company or organization brought in a bunch for some sort of forestry work or service. Parts to be had....somewhere. Jacques Littlefield could have told you but he's past now. :(
Got the brakes freed up and in sync. Also adjusted my clutch where it doesn't grind the gears now. I think I am due for a new friction plate soon though. :-/
Thank ya so very much sir! :-D I have a bunch of B-17 junk that I'll be trying to sell/swap for parts for this too so if anyone needs landing gear stuff, nav lights, misc parts then lemme know! :-D
Yessiree indeed!:-D Our museum is right across the way too. Actually thats going to be the repair shop once the big place is built. I'm going to have my stuff on display there too so if ya get a chance and you're in the area swing on by bud!
We have a T-6 under restoration too.
The blue is our flyer, the siver is going to be used as a static display and parts source. The silver has bad wing spars but could be made to fly if parts could be fabbed or found.
Both of them are complete and were actually flown in to Lafayette regional airport many years ago an have now...
