Wow That is almost the same thing I spent my weekend doing. We have about 6 more hours of work to do on mine. Some how I got LDS-465 from Toole in crate clean as a whistle.. Rebuilt in 1991, stored in a heated building.. Got it for the right price, free. I am counting my blessings on that...
This weekend my deuce " Maggie" move in to a repair bay to receive her new heart.
She bit snapped and sack any one that got close enough. She provided hours of swearing and laughs among friends, and created memories.
Love that big green and rust colored hunk of steel!

Sorry, Every one who planned on coming out with me backed out.. Gotta have a trip buddy. Just in case so I can get home if something does happen.
Will see how next week turns out.
CUCV is based on the Chevy trucks of that era, replacement parts are all over the internet and they are not badly priced. I had to replace the vent window in my 86 blazer, it was a pain but I was happy to have it working again..
Good luck!
Wow I started this one and I don't get the updates LOL.. Sounds like there are a few of us around. I all for a mini convoy whenever.. LOL would be funny to have a line of MV's show up and Yankee Lake too, That would a a riot.. Lets pick a date a location and make something happen..
:grd:
I have been researching the brake system for my M109 on here and the rest of the net. Looks like my Hydrovac is on the fritz..
But while I was looking around I found this youtube video that does a great job of explaining how the Hydrovac works.
I found it very helpful and hope everyone else...
I will check the power output. 73, I will see what she does. maybe even disconnect the batt, they were new in the fall but you never know:-)
Thanks every one for the ideas, I will report back my findings.
I thought about that too.. But the dash lights still pulse when I turn off the headlights and running lights. and verse visa.. Unless something else is rubbed bare some where else.. Ugh.
As I was making my way back from the vet tonight in my M109 in a snow storm I notices that all my lights were pulsing. I looked down and my Generator gauge was pegged all the way to the right..
So what is going on? Has my generator taken a crap or is it just a rectifier issue?
Thanks guys...
I will be going over all the bolts on my 109 today found all of the axle bolts loose on the driver side front tandem. almost lost it
Which TM covers the torque requirements for the axle bolts? and where can I find the proper level of gear oil for the pumpkin?
Thanks Guys!
