If I can help, just let me know. I work around the corner from the airport and live in the Grayling area. Phil, if you would like me to take a look at things it would be no problem, just need the required truck numbers and contact info for the GL rep or a time when the yard will be open...
Wow, Bill, thought I was the only one foolish enough to buy that many trucks at once. Give me a call if I can be of help, might want to call Dan at Pineview also if you need more storage space.
I will probably be in the central UP next week, but will not be able to get anything down to SCS for probably a month. If anyone is going from Grayling to SCS before then, or if it can wait that long, maybe I can be of assistance.
Just came back from the camp site, the first person to arrive is there and set up already. We laid out the boundaries and ran flagging tape. The weatherman is calling for excellent conditions for us right through the weekend, should be a lot of fun.
So far have thirty registrations, accounting for over sixty people and thirty-four vehicles. That is the most I can ever remember having a week before the event and if the weather remains decent, doubling these numbers is very likely. Should be a lot of fun! :driver:
As fun as the trail maintenance suggestions sound so far, I really hate to see our old trucks abused too badly. I was thinking it could be very interesting to utilize the winch trucks and wreckers to host a clinic on proper use of such equipment to drop trees and pull stumps. Then, the...
I did ask specifically about the west trail that was cleared last year and was told that it will still be available. The farm park has not used or maintained it, so it may need a bit of maintenance though.
I am sorry to hear that anyone will not be able to join us for the fun this year. One of my favorite parts of any event is getting to meet and know more about fellow hobbyists.
I was finally able to meet with the folks at Wellington Farm Park today and think we have hammered out a pretty good...
They have rotated use of the fields and have crops planted in part of the area we used last year. Do not yet know what they have planned for us, have to meet with them this week to work it out. From our brief talks on Sunday, they are looking forward to having us out again and are trying to...
Was out to Wellington today, may have some minor changes to our camping area this year, will keep everyone posted. It looks like it could be very good for us.
Will see if the original, color artwork will post here, it is in .pdf format and I do not have a convertor at home. Citizensoldier, I will call and try to find out what the shirt color is planned to be this year and post it.
Figured it was time to start a seperate thread for this event. If anyone would like to order an event t-shirt, those orders need to be in before the end of August. MMMT has flyers/registration forms online at their website - http://www.mmmt.us/trailride.pdf - they will also be available at...
Glad to see some activity here about the upcoming Michigan events. I will not be able to attend Thunder this year, plan to be in Hillman for their VJ-day celebration, maybe someday I'll make it down for that, sounds like a cool event. Do plan to attend Clare though, would like to make Silver...
