With the investment in an air locker I would probably take the diff out just to make sure there are no chunks of metal left to eat up the ring and locker.

You are right it has the outriggers and the notch in cab protector for the auger to rest and no we shouldn't drive to Alaska to buy another rare truck.
I agree the fuel filter can cut your power. We picked up our tractor just before you picked up your truck we made it to New Hampshire before we had to change the fuel filter, it made all the difference, a lot more power. the filter only had two thousand miles on it but it was six years old.
