DeuceRoadTripper,
I'm not an electric guru so I'm a little lost on your pictures. Are the standard military Solargizers the government installed on the M939s 24v or 12v units? I have 2 gov. installed Solargizers but have changed to a 2 12v battery setup. How would I run the Solargizers...
it started during a deep freeze last winter. I changed the fuel filters, oil and filter and problem continued. Cracked the fuel lines at the injectors and seems to be Cylinder 3. Going to have the injector rebuilt, just hoping I'm not wasting time and money on the injector and having a deeper...
When driven like WillWagner describes, the truck has limited power, will not up shift and begins to backfire/pop out the exhaust stack. Ring issue or injector issue?
Sorry to jump in mid-thread but I am having similar issues. What is the order to pressurize the tank(s). Which vent(s) need to be plugged when pressurizing the tanks?
I think I have a "priming issue". I changed the fuel filter/water separator so there was a ton of air in the system. I primed the fuel system and cracked all the injector hard lines at the distribution block, not the injectors. The truck is running extremely rough and seems to still have air...
I do like wheelin the 5 ton but when I get it stuck, its normally quite a bit of work to get it out. So I normally stick to "light" wheelin and recovering others.
The truck behind me in these photos was a little stuck. He's on 50-something inch tractor tires and two trucks where trying to yank...
Yes, correct. My truck was originally a tractor. I removed the 5th wheel hitch, and cut down a stock 14' dropside bed to fit. The shorter truck is much easier for off-roading here in the North-East.
I've been looking over the TMs and have not been able to find the procedure for filling the engine with oil. I see the air valves that say open prior to filling. Is that all? Open the breathers and fill, close breathers, run engine?
thanks!
I have insurance through Progressive Commercial, expensive but completely covered.
When you're ready, we'll have to take the trucks out. Always fun to drive the woods with multiple military trucks.
