Has anyone tried to use turn buttons instead of the original clips? I have a hood and side cover for my truck but don't have the springs and clips. I was thinking turn buttons might work. I have seen several types, anyone know what size will work?
Do they have camping spots? Do they have a web page with info maybe a map of vender or camping spots. Also do they do convoys or trail rides ? I have only been to the N.H. rally this year and am thinking of going to this one.
I need feet for a medium tow bar to tow my m35a2 with. I found someone selling a medium LONG tow bar with Double hole feet. These feet have both a one inch hole and a 3/4 hole. Will the feet fit my medium bar? Anyone have any info good or bad on the two hole feet? I want to be Shure I buy...
DDoyle if you don't already have a copy of motor transport technical service bulletins published by the war department quartermaster corps 1942 you may want one for reference. I would think a later printing will also have good reference info as well.
Because I need to drive my truck I added a quart of Lucas To the tranny. After driving for a half hour I noticed the noise was much less and it shifted much smoother. I know this is not a fix, I just want to nurse a few more miles until I get all the parts. I think part of the original problem...
I am gathering up the parts I WILL need and the ones I MAY need. A clutch kit with TO berring a pilot bushing, rear main oil seal and a tranny gasket set. I have a winch so I have a pto tranny. I have a spare tranny I was told was rebuilt but it does not have a pto.
I adjusted the clutch free play today. Also lowered the clutch peddle to the lowest notch, mine is a air force truck. With the floor shifter cover removed I can hear what I think is the tranny input shaft berring making noise. I will add lucas oil until I have time to fix the problem. I don't...
After reading lots of posts on oils I wanted to try oil in my tranny to see if it made a difference in shifting. I wanted 40 weight oil but they only had 30 wt. After trying the 30 I think its way thin in warm weather. I will be reading on clutch throw out berring adjustment as I know it needs...
After I let the truck cool for a hour the noise stopped. I just slowed to 45 mph and drove on. I had no oil leaking. The best way to describe the noise is like when lockest bugs start calling starts of low then gets louder and faster. Overall the trip went fine except for a detour due to bridge...
I think its a main shaft bering, but it did sound like when the throw-out Bering goes. I will adjust my clutch and remove the trans top cover and inspect inside. The truck has been hard to shift sometimes, but I have a failed knee replacement and its hard for me to push the clutch. I did get a...
I made it to the rally and back with no engine problems, and took it easy up hills. I did have transmission problems , I think it got hot from the 3 hour drive. I just changed out the oil before leaving. I did change the gear oil that was in it and replaced with 30 weight motor oil, the store...
I did not turn up my fuel, I bypassed the fuel density compensator. I also installed all new injectors. I can tell the truck runs much better now. I also know bypassing the fdc can have the effect of turning up the fuel, that's why I am saving up for gauges.
I do not have a pyro yet, until I do any tips to help keep the temps down? I live in hilly country and don't want to melt my pistons out. I would guess on flat land and unloaded temps will be fine. However on hills how fast do temps rise? How quick do they droop to safe levels? Any indication's...
I will be driving my m35a2 and pulling my m105 to the rally. I am in Easthampton ma. and have room to haul something to the show if needed. I have 2 vender spots and plan on selling some extra parts and other items. If anyone is in my area and wants to come along let me know, mark.
I cant find a medium tow bar close to me. I want to get one at the N.H. military rally coming up. This will be my first trip with my m35 since repainting it, and I want to trade for some things I need. My insurance papers are due in any day.
I do want to be able to tow a m35 as well. But maybe not with the same set up . I put factory tow hooks on my frame that came on some xj. The height difference is what I am unsure of. I was thinking maybe the ibis would work? As far as a civy set up can anyone suggest anything .
Has anyone used a m35 to tow a Cherokee? I want to drive my m35 to a military show and pull my xj behind. Any kind of tow bar that would work for this?
