What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

You got that right! Maybe I should install leg iron apparatus like the Romans had their battle wagons. I need a cadence drummer too!:) Heave-ho that lard-ass forward. Smells like victory!

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I'll let you know how things turn out. I don't think it will be easy, but I think I have a good chance. I know to take it slow and smooth to balance power with grip. No buffeting or spinning. Maybe my experience operating dozer’s and heavy loaders will give me some edge too.

Yeah, they are 46" tall. They ride better than the 49s.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I have some tractor weights I could haul there, but I will get a bunch of those dirty girls to add some weight. I should have no problem finding some big ones...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Maybe a little bit. I'll probably haul around a bunch of dirty girls. I mean pretty girls... I think I have a pretty fair chance on winning the tug of war event. It all comes down to weight and tires on the pavement. Even the biggest trucks there will probably not be as heavy as I am. I don't...

5 Ton engine start need help at a lost

Ah Hexx... Are we having PCB problem discussions again? Actually, the take-down and rebuild was not that bad. It does take some time and patience, but you will come away with confidence that you can fix a no start problem.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Well, getting ready for Rednecks with Paychecks @Saint Jo, TX on 13th of Sep. Reconfigured and install troop seats for my dump. Going to install power inverter to drive lights for that brass pole and disco ball in the bed. We pimp'en this baby out! Champagne buckets on both sides... Love seat...

Front end axle boots leaking both sides

Ok, thanks! I will drain those and let things dry up for awhile. Before I added the oil, it was leaking gear oil but not bad at all. Maybe it will stop on its own. This truck sat unused for 5 years before I got it. It had 17 hours on the drive train when bought it. I only have 144 hours on it...

Front end axle boots leaking both sides

I sure did. Lol!:-D They leak just fine! So, your differentials should be filled 1-1/2 below the fill plug. I have midget hands and fingers, no knuckles! :p Just kidding! I will follow your instructions. So should I drop the oil level in the other differentials? I'm not seeing any issues with...

Front end axle boots leaking both sides

I did the latter of course. I filled until the oil flowed out the other side. This is the M929 we are talking about.

Front end axle boots leaking both sides

Ok. Well, I guess I have three differentials now topped off with oil. Left side, right side, and middle. :p I took off the guard plate to see what was going on and oil came out of the bottom bolt holes, so I figured I needed to fill them back up. Those knuckles have (2) Allen plug screws...

Front end axle boots leaking both sides

Looks like I might have seal issues. I've got gear oil dripping out. Not just a little drip, a bunch like a bad seal.

Front end axle boots leaking both sides

From what you describe I've got seal issues. I haven't dealt with front axle yet. Just keeping an eye on things that leak.

Front end axle boots leaking both sides

Both of my front end ball-joints are leaking oil. Left side just a little bit, the right side looks like a seal is out. I'm sure this has something to do with filling them up with oil a few weeks ago. I haven't searched the forum yet for HOW-TO answers, but I will. I took possession of this...
