I know it's early but: the local Veterans Hospital will be hosting it's annual Veterans Day Parade Nov. 6. Line up time at the hospital will be 11:00. Russ Jones used to bring the MV contingent but since his passing there is a fear that it may be a little short. I plan on taking my Deuce & a...
I'm wondering about the attachment rings welded through the trailer sides. One of my trailers has them the other two do not. Was there a different attachment sling for these? They all have the attachment points in the bottom but apparently not the sides. I'm an old signal corp guy, we didn't...
We took off the spare tire and pioneer storage rack, mounted a mil-surplus gas powered pump, connected to the bottom of the tank an instant brush truck. We also added an extra starter with a vbelt to turn the pump over. Easy draft, easy pump, years of service.
I too have had nothing but positive experiences with Andrew at Wright Pat. Always willing to go that extra mile to provide assistance, not just stand around and watch making you feel like your interfering with his day. A great ethic, attitude, and customer focus. I look forward to my next...
I have found a good selection of mattocs at our local flea market. Old ones that fit well are usually 3-5 dollars. The local True Value store had four d-ring shovel to choose from. One was too long, one too short, A Chinese wood handle with steel d-ring that fit well for 13.99 and an American...
All of mine were stuck, on both sides. I waited for a hot dry; day-wood shrinks a little when dry- if it's wet or even damp with water or oil it will swell making it even tighter. I took a piece of 1" square tubing, welded a flat 1x2x1/8" to it, lined it up at the end that was flush with the...
Welcome, I'm just South of you in Chillicothe. I use my truck about every week-end to ferry the grandson around; he loves it. An occasional drive to work and maybe haul a little gravel once in a while. That Tru-Temper No. 2 manual aggregate handler is a little hard on the old shoulders...
Welded back, so it's back on the road again. I might save the custom copper shifter for future use though. Thought about putting a rolling offset toward the driver side so I don't have to reach so far if it happens again.
The only part of the metal that was shiny -as in new break- was the narrow strip down the middle. The rest was well oxidized as if it has been like that for a long time.
I fired up the deuce to get a couple loads of gravel for the driveway. I was all loaded up and started to shift to reverse to back away from the loader and return to the scales when the shifter snapped off in my hand. Fortunately an old plumber always has his pipe with him - and trusty...

It was right around 30 degrees here this evening when I got the solenoid back on. It fired off with no problem. I did flash the manifold heater a time or two while cranking it over. It had about a foot of snow on it, everything has been wet and cool here for several days...
Finally made a contact, been trying Memphis Equipment, White Owl Parts, and Eastern Surplus. Memphis Equipment responded and had a solenoid in stock, and will be shipping today. Should be here in 2-3 days. Thanks for sending me in the right direction.
Tried to look a little deeper, the coil wires are attached to the studs at the bottom. The coil does not pull out. Look at the picture, just below the label is a small spot weld, they are evenly spaced all around the case. The coil retainer is pressed in then welded in place. So far the only...
I took the solenoid off, the brass bolts inside look perfect. The coil seems fried. It doesn't read short, just doesn't pull in. I went in to my local starter/alternator repair shop- he said 175 for a new solenoid shell. I've never been able to work with him anyway. I e-mailed Memphis, no...
