Hello, can you guys help me locate some wheels to mount 24r21 tires on the rear of my M917. Eastern has some 24r21 wheels but no lock rings and I’m having trouble locating them. Does anyone have any ideas?
thank
Steve
Big cam swap is easy. Get the right front mount, cut and reinforce the cross member. Your front Coe mount is not. Everything is a direct swap. How do I know? I put a 400hp big cam in my 929.
The axles I have are not any wider the my M929. The measurement on the rear axle from housing flange to housing flange is the same. The front axles is also the same width. Photos are in the parts for sale section.
I run a few different fass pumps on diesel motors and I noticed a noticeable difference on a 5.9. After the install the rpm at wide open shift was 150 rpm greater which was a very helpful on a stock motor. On my highly modded duramax there was also a noticeable increase in fuel flow with the...

The big cam rear cam bearing journal is larger in diameter then the 250. This effects the location of one of the bell housing bolts. So to use the original 250 bell housing you must enlarge the one hole in the bell housing which is no big...
No matter how much I measured I needed to remove and replace the motor at least 4 times. Best way is to leave the trannie out until the final install.
Make sure you find the exact location of the center of the crank snout. That will help you determine its location with the new motor mount...
Matt are you talking about me, my ears where ringing.
Big Cam is the way to go. Easy to install being basically the same dimensions. The jakes make it taller so you need to lift the cab and nose on the mounts about an inch to make it clear the firewall. All the plumbing is basic too, just...
Hello,
Would anyone know the pin out for a Culter-Hammer Model SX7EA1 Failsafe Warning Module for a 5 ton m929. I need to know which is the positive wire.
If done some searching but not found an answer yet.
Thank You
Steve
I have a set of these air locker axles also, but I believe they are 6.44 ratio in my set. I was told they have larger axle shafts and bearing then a standard 5 ton. I'm not sure of the original application of my axles but a mud truck would be fun.
Get a medical stethoscope and take off the end that the doctor presses to your chest when listening to your heart. Now get a long piece of steel brake line the you can attach to the hose end of the stetoscope. This will act as a long distance listening devise so you pin point the noise location...
