Electrical failure = no brakes = no thanks.
The engine will run with no electricity, but if your air is electric, you won't be able to stop it. You would be adding yet another single point of failure for the braking system...like it doesn't already have enough flaws.
Got mine from Erik's Military Supply. Took me about 4 hours in total to install. Should have been half that, but had some stuck bolts for some of the wire hangers that simply didn't want to budge.
Just installed a NOS harness and it was like it was made yesterday. All the wires were fresh and pliable, not cracking and/or brittle.
Sure you could make your own or have someone make a new one for you, but the harness I got was in perfect shape. I don't think these are actually very old.
That seems to be the problem with many though, there is no plan and certainly no plan B, so they don't consider that it may not be safe to drive and possibly wouldn't know how to tell the difference anyway and off they go.
Regardless of what your initial purchase price...there is no such thing...
A 3 day mil-sim game. Will be playing under the leadership of Col. Danny McKnight.
Planned get together of local MV's and owners, just to hang out for a few hrs.
Look familiar?
First pic is pretty blurry, but you can make out the #29 on the truck in the background.
Looks like every shot has the jerry cans covering the stock headlights and a spare tire on the hood.
Right before Memorial Weekend?
Afraid I'll have to miss this one as I'll be getting the truck packed and ready for the battle at George AFB.
Hopefully this can be a semi-regular thing and I'll make the next one.
Or maybe I'll just come out in the POV since the truck will be full and...
Well, it wasn't an issue at all for me since my M109A3 is registered as a motorhome with no restrictions regardless of the weight and 3 axles.
No class B required as well, but the motorhome is a loophole in the whole 3 axle issue here and likely to stay that way as they don't want to piss off...
Very nice to the OP, but that's where the missle and flamethrower controls are on my truck, definately like the cupholders, just need to find another place to put them.
No issues with the M109 here in California either, I had less trouble registering than what I hear about from other states.
Of course they are trying to make us paint our airsoft weapons solid orange now (not just the tip of the barrel), but that's another battle.
Not that it is really anything to look at, but I did recently replace the old 25A Generator, Voltage regulator and wiring. I installed a 70A Alternator and complete front wiring harness. Works great.
