    California CDL: Another Clarification (long)

Yes, mine is registered as an RV which is how it has standard non-commercial plates. Yes, the requirements are vague, I would think you have enough, but it depends on who is checking it out I guess. I have electricity, hot and cold running water, stove, fridge, bed, cabinets, closet...so they...

    Memorial Day 2011 - Post HERE !

Did our usual Mil-Sim event for Memorial Weekend (Fri-Sun) with Col. Danny McKnight and MSG Mad Max Mullen as the opposing commanders. Epic battles, great use of MV's and altered civilian vehicles, lots of fun all done while honoring those who have given the ultimate sacrifice. This was the 10...

    California CDL: Another Clarification (long)

You can't just register a stock deuce as a motor home to get around the licensing, you have to actually add a shelter box and some type of improvements (water, bed, electricity, etc). With the M109A3 it was of course no problem at all, fill out the house car paperwork for the DMV, let them look...

    M109A3 - Combat Camper Build

The portable water cooler I have in there now does a pretty good job, but still plan on the roof top A/C. Yep, it gets plenty of use, will be headed out this weekend in it for Mil-sim with Col. McKnight (Blackhawk Down) which is always a good time.

Welcome, good luck in tracking down and getting your deuce. And yes, this site is fantastic!

    Pick a M35A3

Based on that, I'd get the dropside. Although people do want a nice 109 box now and then, you can get rid of the dropside bed much faster if you don't intend on keeping it.

    Riverside SOCAL Meet 25 May

I'll be there, just in something a tad smaller than the M109A3

    New Shelters

As long as they are structually sound, who cares if they start out looking a little rough? Just makes the finished product look all that more amazing right?

    Pick a M35A3

Are they "after" the A3's or is that simply what is being made available thru State Surplus? While the intention may not be to run WMO or anything like that, I'd feel pretty good about an emergency vehicle being able to in a pinch. And yes, it is very sad that some people cannot drive a...

GL watch list doesn't show trucks after auction ends

    Lennon's M109 Camper

Did you install the ladder hangers under the new side door so you can use the original boarding ladder there? After a few drinks from that bar, someone may have a doosy of a first step out that door if you don't have something rigged up.

    Pick a M35A3

If it is a M109A3 and not the M109A4, then that would be my pick. All the issues that plague the M35A3 would be gone and you'd have a multifuel engine and manual trans.

Quick newbie question about LEDs, do they care about 12v VS 24v?

Explode? I doubt it, they may burn out instantly or certainly quicker than the 24V LEDs. It didn't look like the added headlights were wired into the main harness, just added in with thier own switch. You should be able to reconnect/rewire the turn signals back in and still have the additional...
