Let's see, just where would U.S Airways flight 88 take them???????? It is hard to read the ticket stuffed in his breast pocket, maybe it is flight 287. Doesn't that connect with the plain white 737's that fly out of McCarron???? I wish I had one of those "Blade Runner" photo readers to check...
Well, I decided to keep my signature simple rather than list it all. In addition, both my adult son and adult daughter have military iron they add to the family's motor pool.
I just bought an M109a3 Shop Van truck. It is STILL waiting for the EUC to clear. Picked up an M35a2 cab and Chassis a...
What I have noticed is there is a wide spread around the nation on what the GL trailers go for. And no matter where, the sales prices have been increasing. Generally, M101's sell for more than M105's, but a M101 in GA can be had for less than a M105 in Colorado. The other thing I have noticed is...
And it wasn't just a trip home from the hospital in an M37, but bouncing around the Rockies afterwards. (See attached revealing photo of someone's early childhood.)
I used the refrigerator magnet material to make Shamrock door logo's for the St. Pat's Day Parade. Kinda expensive ($25 per shamrock from the sign shop) compared to the package of stencil letters I got from Office Max ($3). We used flat black rattle cans to spray the lettering, but the actual...
All right Wreckerman!! That's it with the citizen wisdoms. Firstly, you can gold plate a turd. You can polish a turd as well. Check out the "Mythbusters files." And continuing on, one of the best breakfasts I ever ate was in Dallas Texas at a cafe called "Moms." The second best was at a cafe...
Top looks like Military Issue to me. Most after markets are fiberglass or cobbled over the soft top frame. There was a military issue kit to convert the CCKW hard top to the M37. Those have an oval back window and wooden spacer parts to make the top match the door windows etc.
I get that redirect when I Google something and the Google find is something on SS. When I follow the link from Google I get the redirect. If I just go directly to SS I can enter just fine. What I do with the Google finds on SS is to note the topic so I can search the SS site asking the right...
My remark about temp tags and titles had to do with a practice we used to be able to do. If I bought something I used to be able to go to my local DMV, show them my bill of sale and get a temp tag so I could drive it home. Now the way GL and local DMV work, the GL sale paper work does not...
Lets see, If I was still in the lab, I would add some anhydrous ethanol to break the water emulsion, use a glass seperator funnel to tap off the obvious water and then I would pass the remainder over Na2SO4 in a glass column with a fritted disk.
Seriously though, granular sodium sulfate is...
Most States will sell you a temp tag to either get it out of their state or some where else. Home states usually will sell you a temp tag to get it home. In between states will usually honor others temp tags. Notice my use of the word USUALLY. Lately, it has been become impossible to get a home...
I believe that additional insured clause is related to term contracts, but I am not sure. I do know that every one of our recoveries has required photo ID for everyone, proof of vehicle insurance and vehicle registration. We always supply the registration of our trailers as well. Most facilities...
Tow straps don't have to be strong enough to lift the whole vehicle you are towing. Lifting slings are different because all the weight is on the sling. You do need something strong enough to cover the pulled load, but that is less than the total vehicle weight.
It sounds like the "recovery"...
My M220 came straight from surplus with a 120# gauge as well. Trouble is the old gasser runs 30 psi under way and it idles at 5 psi as the specifications indicate. It is hard to read 5 psi on a 120# gauge. I am looking to swap gauges the other direction. I heard from a retired MV maintance guy...
Thanks for the list. At some point I will need to tow a M109 about 60 miles with a 5 ton. So far I have trailered or driven them home, but the tales of problems with deuce tows has me researching.
To some degree this is addressed as a part of the Business License. In the case of dealers, a Bond is usually required by the State and auto business insurance usually includes mandatory Garage Riders that deal with the liability issues up to some dollar value. The premiums depend on what kind...
