With the Voltage regulator fried, there isn't much can be done. I've ordered the upgrade wiring harness to bypass the voltage regulator and go with a 70A alternator rather than the current faulty 30A generator.
Now just hoping there are no delays with the parts.
Looking like voltage reg fried along with the generator, the 12V DC/ 110V A/C system in the box seems to be fine, just the 24V system I need for starting and driving is shot. Looking at options now for replacement and hoping there is no further issue. But yea, I'd call it serious when smoke...

Go by what is on the frame, not parts on the truck. Often they take several trucks and make one out of them. If the frame is from 93, than that's what it is. Of course GL sometimes even gets the model wrong, yet alone the year...so take your pick.
He didn't say that, but that's usually his general attitude...lol
No lockers, didn't attempt to air down the tires as the left were all under oatmeal and we were filming so no one really wanted to get covered in mud.
If there wasn't a 5 ton wrecker easily available, I would have headed home...
When 5 tires are basically in the air (not touching any solid ground) and the other 5 are buried in something with the consistancy of oatmeal....yea, I call that stuck.
Actually, that's mud and or the color of his pants, he was very unconcerned about getting stuck.
Yea, it was more sinkhole than rut at that point, but he pulled several vehicles from the same area the night before, that plus continued rain just made it impassable if you ended in the rut and...
It was a military wrecker, not sure which type as I wasn't there when it was pulled out. We were filmiing for a documentary on the Civil War conflicts that took place in the Southwest. The Deuce was obviously not part of the filming, but was what we were using to transport gear and crews to the...
My buddy got his Deuce buried in a really deep rut caused by the rain and the several vehicles he had pulled out of this very same spot the night before. Had to have a wrecker pull him out.
I've been cranking out food for my cleanup tools to the point my arms are killing me.
My votes from the list are:
The Expendables (lots of MV's)
Full Metal Jacket
I've been working the presses for a few weeks to make sure I have enough food for the cleanup tools. Then went out and got a new monster cleanup tool, so I'll be working the press up til it is time to head out.
Pretty sure all that haven't been banned are automatically invited, so sounds like...
