I am in the process of installing a winch on my deuce and I noticed that there is a 1/4" space between the lifing bracket and the frame. When I removed the lifting brackets from the bumper there were no plates or spacers present. Am I missing a part? :cookoo: Also, I did not see any mention of...

Re: towing a duece with a 1 ton or 3/4 ton pickup I vote for driving the deuce back... I drove mine home and it was about 480 miles.

Excellent pics and timely as well since I will soon be rebuilding the winch I bought from Bigmike! Where did you get your replacement parts for the rebuild from? I bought a top plate from OD Iron as well.

My M35A2 has 15W-40 stenciled on the inside of the hood and I run Delo 15W-40 in all my diesel powered equipment.

I ordered the Selectros (P/N - MMK-11167-01) from Summit Racing and the cost was $486.39 +shipping.

That new top-plate looks great! It makes me want to put the new top-plate I ordered from OD Iron on my recently acquired winch, but first I have to go through the winch and make sure the innards are up to snuff.

I installed my Selectros tonight and they went on in 30 minutes....My M35 is a free-wheeler now! :driver: I will try to post some pics later.

I am interested for the same reasons houdel and alphadeltaromeo stated. I also like jatonka's solution because it is KISS.

The install instructions state to torque the bolts to 45 Ft Lbs, but the original bolts were more like 90 Ft Lbs....What are you guys with Selectros torquing the bolts to?

My Selectros arrived from Summit today...They weigh more than I thought. :D Hopefully, I will get them installed before the weekend.
