    M35A2 v A3v H1 V Suburban v Excursion in deep snow and mud?

I've seen an H1 push snow over its hood. Standing still the snow was about 2-3 lower than the top of the hood.

    Hemmt Wheel Questions

A friend of mine made a step in both the center and wheel on a lathe. As I recall, he had about .008" runout after welding, WAY better than stock.

    H1 vs. HMMWV?

Mine's a 4 door hard top with aftermarket slant back. Old pic of it.

    H1 vs. HMMWV?

1992 Civi ones were tan. In 1993 you could get (from memory, so some might be off) Tan, Black, Red, White, Forrest Green and CARC 383 green. Only about 20 were ordered with CARC 383 green, 3/4 complained it wouldn't shine, so they dropped the color. When I ordered mine, Woodland Camo was...

    2010 PNW Mini - Rally

I just loaded a Med. Tow Bar in the HEMTT, it will be at the meet at around 11:00AM. If you can get yours to them earlier, perhaps that might be better. I'll still bring mine, it's in there already. :D

Tempting, you haven't seen the one I'd let you "store", it's name is Rusty. :D

    2010 PNW Mini - Rally

I guess I missed the post where one was needed, I used mine once 3-4 years back and almost forget I have one.

    2010 PNW Mini - Rally

I have a towbar but I don't see how that might help as I live completely in the wrong direction.

    Hello all

A BIG yard and garage with lots of tools to play with.

    Hello all

RUN! RUN AWAY! The green bug is insidious, it will pervade all portions of your life. Your wife and children will learn to tell the difference between an M35 and an M54, a M38 from an MB or an M151. It's a sickness I tell you . . . .

    2010 PNW Mini - Rally

I kinda washed the HEMTT yesterday, still a few fluids to check, but we'll be ready unless Mr. Murphy shows up, he does reside in my back pocket. :cookoo:

    M656 steering rehabilitation

Sorry Brad, it wasn't me I never had the wheels off I just checked the torque and tire pressure. They went "click" on the torque wrench and I left 'em alone. Not driving down Sat. for the Meet? I found your cargo cover, it was "hiding" under some heavy tarps.

No history on the "V Rat" it was in vinyl, so it most likely somebody's idea in the last 20-30 years. Still cool, it'll probably be recreated after we have finished the restoration. My V's restoration will be one of the easiest, it was completely unmolested, running and driving and quite...

    H1 vs. HMMWV?

The wiring is fine, it needs the snorkle is all. It also has the plugs in the floor to let the water out too. WAY too early for ABS, it doesn't even have power windows or door locks.

    H1 vs. HMMWV?

But in the case with the EARLY H1's ('92 & '93), the civilian units had heavier suspension, the same gear ratio, and better hubs than the Mil-Spec units. I have a '93 with 20k miles in the original CARC 383 green collecting dust.

    HEMTT vs. 2010 Camaro

I saw the tail lights of a Mazda Miata through the floor window in the HEMTT once, he merged under there. I had an F150 try to do it yesterday, he was from a "southern country" in a work truck and talking on the phone. They both got the air horn, I think it's time to mount my MASSIVE 5 bell...

    HEMTT Update

That's exactly what we were thinking, having the bed sides follow the lines of the cab and engine doghouse made sense. The stockers were high shin height to perhaps knee, the only thing that looks goofy is now the crane is below the bed sides and looks a little crooked. You can't have...

    H1 vs. HMMWV?

The first Civilian Hummers had a much heavier suspension and better hubs then the HMMWV. Mine has a 2 ton payload, I added a 3,600 lb pallet of concrete and the rear of the truck squatted about 2" making it sit level. On later H1's they lightened the suspension capability and only offered the...

    HEMTT Update

Thanks guys! I can't tell you what a fine job they did re-creating the sides, they are an exact copy of the original ones, but now the same height as the cab (9" taller than stock) and weigh only 46 lbs being made entirely out of 1/8" aluminum.
