Well, another 140 mile drive today, still making me smile. We got our new sides back after painting and all that is left is to match the camo, that will have wait for warmer weather. The truck is dirty due to some wet weather but I should have a chance to wash it before the PNW Mini Meet on...
Isn't it strange that a battery can do this in an otherwise correctly connected and operating system. I've brought many batteries back except that one, mainly due to the use of pulse charger.
As I said in the duplicate thread, which I have since deleted:
I had this happen, one battery reversed it's polarity. When testing voltage across both batteries in series I got 0 volts. Each measured aprox. 12.6V but one was reversed. It was a pair of 6TL's and I replaced them with a new pair...
Remember Travis when doing those calculations you must use absolute temperature and therefore use Kelvin or Rankine scales NOT Celsius or Fahrenheit. A few remaining tibits I remember from aerodynamics and aircraft performance while at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
I once weighed 370 and I'm only 6'2", we had a joke we had to grease up my belly for me to get in the drivers hatch of my Scorpion tank, not too far from the truth. At 225, everything is easier, especially the Scorpion, my knees don't hurt any more either.
The front wheel does help in shallow turns and for sharper turns one track starts braking. There are two of these locally but most likely less than 10 in the US. My wife has driven one, I haven't . . .
Brad, I'm sure it'd fit in just great, you have a very nice Mog! If he was serious at all about the hobby, riding in a Mog would be a good start. I know I'd jump at the chance. Jane and I went on a 4.5-5 hour drive in the M656 and although we were a bit worn out from the "adventure" we both...
Nice going Brad, I see you had some nice weather up by the border.
I haven't dug out the cover yet but I'll let you know when its ready for pickup. It will be at your convenience, I think it's in the garage under the staircase.
Brad showed up at the PSMVCC meeting tonight and mentioned you guys stopping by, his gates open at 7AM that morning he said. He convoyed with my Scorpion tank once 6-7 years ago, Damon and I also went down there in the HEMTT to pick up a turbine generator.
BTW, could one of you take some...
Welcome, I'm from Redmond, WA. Deuces are VERY affordable and reliable vehicles.
Yes, tanks are fun but even the smallest ones aren't towable behind a Deuce . . . guess how I know this. They also cost more than 10 times more than a Deuce.
Yes, we believe mine was possibly built as a Military unit and then converted to civilian spec with upgraded hubs and heavier suspension and all the rest. Mine came with a 2 ton rated payload, heavier than the earlier HMMWV's.
Remember guys, they aren't just riveted together but also bonded...
