Welcome to the site Steve. I hope you get the truck home in time for the Ga rally! You could join the convoy! Glad to see you on the site.
This man is is the king when it comes to axles!
I missed meeting so many members last year! I know I can't meet all that attend but but I would like to introdeuce myself to members I haven't yet met. I really liked the name tags from last year. Thanks Kenny!
How can we i.d. members has they stop by or stay overnight? Maybe a laptop near...
I had the same problems with mine. We found the grounds on the sending unit were not making connection. This gauge needs grounding to go all the empty.
My front tires were cupping on the outside bad. We found the front was toed in way to much. We set the toe to 1/8 of an inch wider at the rear...
Well I got the driveshaft installed and the parking brake released this afternoon. When Rick got home we did a pull start with it and it fired right up! We were able to get them disconnected and my truck back to it's parking place and Ricks truck parked also. He bought a fine truck, so to be a...
Well I could not get the start circuit to work on Ricks truck, they still need to be unhooked. I tried to to use a remote starter button but the batteries only had 20 volts, not enough to turn it over. This truck has the old style slave plug and I do not have a adapter. This will have to wait...

Well I found time to get on here. I'm at 36 hours with no sleep! No, you don't really sleep in a deuce! My eyes would not stay open anymore! As stated we got home at 6:30 AM to Ricks house and I secured the truck and jumped in my pick up to beat iit home to get ready for my 8 hour work day. I...
Well we're off to do it again, rbeasley66 and I. We are leaving in the morning in my M109 to drive to Ft. Campbell KY to pick up another (his) M109. 1500 hundred miles round trip! We must be insane! We plan to flat tow this one. We have a meduim tow bar and military tow lights and good safety...
We just finished with Rick's geared lug wrench on my m109 when you called me Kenny. We would have had a real hard time with out! It made pulling rear tires a snap! Some were really tight!
If you have a Deuce you need a geared lug wrench.
My M109 tops out at 62 mph. I wish I had driven mine from MI to FL but I did not know the truck and did not want to chance it. I had it put on a lowboy. MI bridges are low!
If the OP knows the truck is sound, drive it. Get insurance first.
I'm glad you have things so well. Here in Polk County Florida anything with 3 axles is considered a commercial vehical. That really messes me up as commercial vehicals are not allowed to be parked in a residental area. Bummer, I own 3 of them!
