Did any of you guys participate in field day this past weekend? I worked 40 meters with my dad and we made 802 contacts, which is the most we have done since I started working with him. We used a regular civvy radio, which overheated with about 2 hours left. Curious: Anyone using green...
Technician class N8KOQ... I don't get on much at all, except for field day, which I have been attending each year with my dad, who is the REAL ham in my family :D
Mower cycle gang was in attendance from Wed afternoon through Sun morning. Stretch, Jacob (sitting bull/little girl), Chris (the other Chris), Jordan, and me. Stretch brought his Deuce, mobile garage, and 5 racing lawnmowers.
You can put me in for an XL T-Shirt and a Hat. Its getting to be about time to haul the racing mower out of the shed and see what i broke last time.
:jumpin:
Some pics I took from this event... (Sorry about reverse chronological order LOL)
1. Side Shot of 'the lineup'
2. Dalton's MowRon injuries part 1
3. Dalton's MowRon injuries part 2
4. Light on top of the tractor 'Banshee' after Dalton flipped it
5. Tire on same tractor after crash
6. Me...
One note about schedule... I don't know that we will necessarily be able to rate the drag track on Saturday as it is usually very busy that day with quads etc. If we can arrange that with Pete I'm sure we will draw a crowd though.
NP. I'll probably be able to come out and help with wiring the cab on Thursday.
..and @ Maddog - Chris S. and I will probably be donating cash to the 'get the crane to haspin' fund.
