Does anyone know a part number or where to get the cable that goes from the remote to the crane on a M977 HEMTT? The cable would be a 14 pin female. I have attached a picture of the port on the crane and remote
No offence but you obviously do not own a DUKW and you have no right to call me untruthful! Both of my DUKW's have been California Highway Patrol inspected along with registered with the California DMV as 1942 GMC's. At no point was I untruthful with the DMV or hid anything as they saw the...
I doubt and hope that the collectors are not required to update the axels. The tour DUKW's probably put more miles on their DUKW's then I do in 5 years. As far as my insurance and title is concerned they are 1942 GMC's nothing that identify s them as a DUKW. Also the tour DUKW's are a extreme...
Now there is a site with a group WACK JOBS trying to the Ride The Ducks banned from seattle. It's interesting how much BS stories they created

Or once you have to fill it up. I do agree the M977A2 is the most fun to drive but 2 miles to the gallon compared to 8 for the M923A2 you feel it at the pumps.
I tried taking my test in my M931 and they immediately turned me away stating it was not a commercial vehicle with historic plates. I ended up taking a few hours of class at Dootsan and using there truck for the test.
I have titled and registered 3 DUKW's and everyone I know has them titled as well. I have one in the classifieds with a clean California title for sale.
**** I wish I saw this two years ago. My door latch on the m923a2 has had this problem since a show two years ago. I literally just walked out side did the fix, put it back together in less then 20 minutes and my outside door handle works again.
Thank you majortom![thumbzup]
The civilian Hummers have a completely different attachment process. Civilian hummers use velcro and military use the quarter turn fastners. It would be a fraction of the cost to dye / paint a green top.
They drive great just like a big honda. Switching between the LVS and HEMTT is the hard part because the HEMTT has a lot larger turning radius and the LVS is just odd pivoting in the middle. I just put 130 miles on my m977A2 last weekend and it drove very nice and tracked well with no weird quirks
