    New to steel soldiers

Welcome from California. My dad got an M422 Mighty Mite when I was 11 years old and I've been hooked ever since.

    Looking at a '53 M108 Gasser

Are you getting the truck, or just helping out the guy? The OA331 is a great motor when tuned up. Don't expect miracles from it in this almost 20,000 lb. truck. Once you get the diesel out of the fuel system, you shouldn't have any problems with it. Don't waste your money on premium gas as...

My 1984 M923 AM General maximum speed is 45 miles per hour.

^What he said. What RPM's is the engine turning when you're going 45 MPH? If it's 2100, then you're in fourth gear. If it's something like 1600 RPM, then you're in fifth gear and there is a power issue. Have you changed any filters?

Any cdl drivers needing ride from Kansas to California after the first of the year?

Alas, this statement is NOT true in California, which requires a Class B CDL for any three axle vehicle that weighs 6000 lbs. or more. This applies whether or not the vehicle is registered Historical or not. If you're going through the trouble of getting a CDL, I would recommend a Class A...

How about the toggle switch that turns off all lights in the center position? It's a possibility.

M882 stuck on New York docks.

Is there a SS member in the NJ/NY Sopranos land that can help out RichM882?

Do you think an M931A2 will do this?

We want video of the move...or at least pictures.

Hmmm..do you like low flying aircraft?....then here ya go!

Think of the forces of acceleration on your body using this method!

Who has a receiver on their 5t?

I like the hitch M35A2-AZ used. I think I would figure out a way to mount the glad-hand supports differently so that I could move the hitch towards the rear of the truck a few inches.

    Stolen M35 - Colorado - on or before 11/22/2015

That bug screen is distinctive. Hopefully it will help someone identify the truck. I'll watch for it in SoCal. Good luck.

How far do you have the choke pulled out? JUST KIDDING!

CCKW swb restoration is nearing completion.

Nice! I have a friend near me with a LWB closed-cab CCKW. He lets me drive it when I need my non-synchromesh fix.

    M1031 Generator 208 3 phase conversion?

We've made cheater cables at work to temporarily tap single phase from a 3-phase outlet. With a generator, I would think you would have to be careful not to heavily load one phase with no load on the other two.

    M38A1 Therapy Build with Pictures

I love big trucks, but I love my M38A1 too. In fact, I've loved them since I was a kid. You'll have a great jeep when your finished with the restoration!

    Need a Shipper in CA

I believe the OP is in England. Will AAA go on base to recover a vehicle? I thought that would only work if you haul the vehicle outside the front gate.

    M38A1 Therapy Build with Pictures

That stuff in the front knuckle looks like the caramel apple dipping sauce from a kids meal at McDonalds. Your cat will soon have lots of boxes to play in!
