    M936A0 Recovery

It cruises nice and smooth on flat and moderate inclines. Pulling the big 'Mothers' between Barstow and Vegas was another story. Lucky they have an extra SLOW lane- I was down in 2nd.

    M936A0 Recovery

620 mile recovery, no problems, other than running out of gas between the base and the truck stop. One picture sums up a 936 recovery:

BFR Metals, Salina Kansas, a Goodie Hole

We had a great time hanging out with you Glen- even though 105 Kansas degrees is more like 125 Utah degrees. With a few parts from the yard- and a lot of tires- we made the 1000 mile trip home with zero problems. Thanks again Glen!!!

i've driven a few from Sparta to Vegas area- if the truck is good- drive it. In general- I would rate the Sparta trucks as above average. That's what this hobby is all about for me! Driving. Best of luck whatever you decide.

Earlier in this post there is the image of the tach cable connection. I have a truck with the cable directly connected. Of course the cable does not engage. So no tach. Cable spins freely. Looking at other 5 tons there is a piece between the pump and the cable. See picture- it's the yellow...

    Winch problem

I find that on my 925 I have to goose the left lever all the way to the back, and then it engages. The lever appears to be all the way back, but then soldier B pops his head up and asks what I am waiting for. I think it helps to give it a little RPM to help it slide in all the way.
